Hi!
I use the optimization with time course to optimize oxidative phosphorylation in different conditions: different respiratory substrates, ADP or not, uncoupler etc.
Indeed the parameters to identify for most of the reactions are the same for most of the reactions (for instance, the Vmax and the Km).
I would like to drive all the optimizations together, because when I identify the parameters for the condition 1 they do not fit the condition 2 and vice versa.
The only way I imagine is to write as many models as conditions with the common parameters as global.
Is there a simpler way to do it?
Copasi is really useful and the optimization function very convenient (all functions are convenient)
All the best

Hello,

to do this with parameter estimation you would include the initial value for the different conditions (different initial concentrations, parameters that would turn on / off certain reactions in the model) into the experiment file at the initial time, and then map it as `independent` to the corresponding model element. That way multiple experiments, describing different experimental conditions can be run together, achieving a result that best fits them all.

in order to provide more detailed information, we would have to see your current setup.

all the best
Frank
