Dear users,

Is there a way to comment out species or reaction colums directly in copasi ?

Convert to SBML and comment out XML colums and back to copasi

is one way but elaborate task.

Within the COPASI GUI, you can:

* set a species to simulation type 'fixed' so it won't partake in reactions

* assign a kinetic with speed 0 to a reaction, to have it not happen.

to systematically remove species / reactions from a model, I would use scripting, as available with

where you first prepare your model in COPASI, and then reactions, repeating the analysis you want to run to see the differences.

Dear Frank,

Thank you quick reply.

Your suggestion is not good for me because target species are used in other reactions

and can't be "fixed" though 0 values of kinetic constant may be effective.

Can I ask another basic question ?

Can I move colums to arbitrary positions and hope to reorder because COPASI automatically

reorder the colums unwillingly when adding models ?
