Subject: Error while updating MIRIAM!

Hi everyone,
I am new to Copasi and I am trying to help a colleague with the following error message when they try updating MIRIAM on Copasi 4.10 (Build 55) running on Ubuntu 12.04lts.

Error while updating MIRIAM!

>ERROR 2013-08-27 17:28:42<
CAnnotation (3): Updating the MIRIRAM resource information failed. Please try again. The server responded:
Connection refused
connect failed in tcp_connect()

I believe this is related to our proxy settings. I tried setting the environmental vars (http_proxy and ftp_proxy) to no avail. Is there a way to set our proxy settings (or is it another issue??)

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Regards,
John.

Hi all,
same here. MIRIAM update not working in COPASI because I am behind an institutational proxy.

When trying to export SEDML I get the warnings:

>WARNING 2015-12-07 08:34:09<

CAnnotation (4): The MIRIAM resource 'http://identifiers.org/biomodels.sbo/SBO:0000176' is unknown to COPASI. Please try to update the list of resources by running Update MIRIAM from the tools menu.

...
After clicking
Tools -> Update MIRIAM
nothing happens, not even a warning of time out.
On laptop without proxy the update works without problems and the SEDML warnings vanish

Please provide proxy settings for COPASI, i.e some preferences
Proxy server:
Port:
User Name:
Password:
which are than used for all connections.

The best
Matthias
