Hi,

I have 1 binding region which contains 6 binding sites for a given transcription factor TF. Moreover, the binding of the transcription factors is cooperative, once 1 binds the others will bind quicker. Could you please help me by showing me how I can write in COPASI the biochemical reaction that uses a Hill cooperative kinetics?

Looking forward for an answer,
Elena.

Hi Elena,

I'm not one of the Copasi support guys but couldn't you just use the hill-cooperativity function for your kinetic rate law, specify 'h' as 6 and input the appropriate stoichiometry into the reaction (i.e. 6A + b -> C). You'll also need to figure out the Vmax and Km for your reaction (represented as 'V' and 'Shalve' respectively in copasi).
