My dear Friends,
Guille, Gaby, Mireia, Jessica...hope this e-mail will find u in good health and happy!
I'm back in sunny Italy, and most of u are back from the UK GA, so is time for a Followup of all the marvellous things that happened in this week, and to do the point of the situation of what we have to do for our project!!!
First of all, I would like to say THANK U to my dear Guillermo from Perù!!! the video presentation that we enjoyed was from his hands, so Guille...u did REALLY a great Job, we had a great success during the Project Presentation Sessions thanks to your work!! Thank u! I hope we will meet soon!
Then, I would like to thank too all of u that was there with me...someone of u were very busy (isn't it Eia?) but u did ur best to support me and our
project...thank u!!!
I'm very proud to take part of this team, were a huge group personality is mixed with high quality personal skills...is for all this that we gained the Prize as BEST IFMSA PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2007!!!
So...what we did at the GA??
1) I met all the representatives from the Country involved in the Project, including who was supposed to be the co-coordinator Diego from Brazil and the Brasilian Coordinator, Larissa (Clown Chappellet)
2) I (we) tryed to spread as much as possible the project, making contacts with some NMO (right now I'm writing to Costa Rica for example), giving our voice during the Project Support Division Meetings with Anel and Goran.
3) I participated and presented SMiLe X at the Round Table for the 5 Finalists of the Rex Crosselly Award, were we gained the first price
4) We tryed to make our best during the Project Presentation (and we did :D)
5) I had a Heart Attack while trying to
tell something from the microphone while winning the First Prize :D :D :D
It was a very strange GA, my fourth, the worst for the Organization but the most Important and happy for Smile X...this Prize arrives after one whole year of hard work, of every of us and of me, at the first experience as International Coordinator of whatever...it is the right prize for the efforts of everyone of us! for the tears of Gaby that has to delay the Course, for the Laughs with my dear Eia, for the little chats with Guille...
But, most important, this Prize is for sure NOT the end line, but a very motivating starting point for all of us. This means we are in the good direction, but the way is still hell long guys!!!
During the next months we will have to:
1) Drink something to the health of ur dear Marco and of the others Coordinators
2) Support everyone of us, and start the courses in every Nation involved, at least one
3) Collect
the first evaluation from the students (the questionnaire is in the proposal)
4) Finalize the website
5) Finalize the other 2 evaluation's questionnaire
6)Have loooooads of fun
7) Support the new NMO that want to join the project!!!
are u ready for this????
Please I would like u to share ur ideas, ur feelings for the GA, everything!!!
before leaving, 2 more things...I'm including in this group finally the coordinator from Brasil, Larissa (thank God :D) and soon I'll include the President of IFMSA- Costarica!!
a big hug to everybody, enjoy the attachments!!!
PS: My HUGEST Congratulations and KISSES to u, Mireia, LIASION OFFICER FOR PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES Elected...We all trust in u, and remember that u will always have our support!
