Hey dear clowns!


First of all i want to apologize.. i was in Ohrid and met Gemma but not Mari, and couldnt go to the project presentation since i fell in the National Drinking Party.. :S and broke my patella and had to come back home :((( i really wanted to be there and see the great video Mari made! but anyway.. i guess it went great!

just wanted to intrude in the group (luli is in charge of the SMILEX here in Ecuador :P) just to give an idea.. hehe

When Patch was here in Quito, i was part of the Organizing Team and had the chance to spend a lot of time with him between hospitals and conferences and told him about our project! he was very excited about it, but sicne we were always in a hurry i never got to "stablish" some kind of formal bond between the SMILEX and his work..  i still receive emails from the Gesundheit Institute (Patch Adams ;o)) and they always are promoting their Clowning tours, and summer  courses.. so...  I think we can send an official letter to the Gesundheit Institute to get some kind of "backup" letter of recognition from him or the Institute.. and to see if we can help each other.. maybe they can give SMILEX students some kind of discoutn on their workshops, or include them in their tourss... i still havent thought of the concrete "use" of this contact but i guess we can have a great relationship with them, and give our great project a HUGE opportunity to grow!!

i (guille) have personally mentioned the project and my charge to patch in my letters, but I think we need an official one. I totally support your idea, what everyone else think about this?

Dear all, and my dearest Gaby!!!

first of all, I'm very sorry for your patella, poor you! really, since I met u many years ago I've found out that u are the crazyest girl ever :D Party animal :D

Well, what Gaby wrote is really interesting, and sincerely I expected some reply to her email from you. You guys are the real project.

So, since some year ago we (the older first generation of Smile X) planned to get a formal recognition from the Ghesundheit institute. I remember expecially the first time Gaby has been the official translator of Patch in Quito, that we have talked about that. 

We thought, or if you prefer I personally thought and think, that to have a formal recognition from them could be important for us. Clown therapy is a kinda "new" and innovative discipline, and this means that is difficult to demonstrate the "quality" standard of a project. More over because the situation of clown therapy associations is based on millions of little self-referential groups. To have an official recognition from the most important Institute of this kind, can be a very good presentation to our partners.

So, I expected you to question to yourself: Do we need a recognition? Is it useful for the Project?

U didn't, so I ask to you now :D and I add a very important question: Do you think we deserve a recognition such that? are we able to carry on a quality project? 

A little note, in the end, to Guille. You wrote that we should need an official letter, and this is true. You are the International Coordinator, so, don't be afraid!! good work to everybody!

I was still waitiing for the answers.... I would like to know everyone's position and to know if they've met Patch or not, son that we can mention that in the letter. And any idea you think should be in the letter. I, as Marco, can't be International Coordinator next year. And once again, mi state of art is empty as no LC coordinator has sent me enough information, they are just starting and I am asking them to do it well rather than a hurry bad work. Sorry for this.
