A lot of people contacted me directly to tell me that they really
wanted to make it tonight, but simply couldn't.
So don't fret; we'll have to meet again soon!
Instead of sticking to the agenda, we covered a few key topics that
touched on most of the aforementioned topics at one point or another.
Here are my notes:
- Compiling the necessary up-front money for a standalone coworking
space ($20k plus) would be very difficult, if not impossible.
--- Run numbers for possibility of charter members paying three months
up front, and other similar schemes.
- Continue to explore the prospect of a benefactor who is in a
position to help-- David Rose & others.
- Settle on a name for the space using Bricabox... I was hoping that
choosing a name wouldn't have to be a big group event, but the perfect
name has not yet emerged.
- With new name in hand, develop a site that lays out the exact
offerings of the potential new space-- specific enough that potential
members can publicly list their interest.
- Determine level of interest based on public signup data.
- Explore simpler approach - rent apartment & run organization
informally?
Much more to discuss soon. Thanks to those who came out and see all of
you Thursday for TechDrinks III!
