I'm holding a meeting tomorrow to begin building the entity that will
be behind the future awesome dedicated space, and to resolve some
questions that are still outstanding. If you would like to attend and
don't know the details, email me (space is limited!).

As a preparatory step, below are some starter topics for our
discussion on the construction of a dedicated space:

1. Finalize name

I've got a handful of nominees and would like to submit them to some
brief discussion before settling on one tomorrow.

2. Financials

- Viability of space: I've got a model which I believe is viable. I've
copied the basics here; we can discuss in further detail tomorrow:

- Upfront and ongoing cash on-hand needed to start

3. Legalities / Forming a company

- Determine best path to, as quickly as possible, forming a company or
organization into which constituents can contribute funds.

- Determine who will do what to implement plan, and when.

4. Roles, Next steps, questions

Looking forward to it!

A lot of people contacted me directly to tell me that they really
wanted to make it tonight, but simply couldn't.

So don't fret; we'll have to meet again soon!

Instead of sticking to the agenda, we covered a few key topics that
touched on most of the aforementioned topics at one point or another.
Here are my notes:

- Compiling the necessary up-front money for a standalone coworking
space ($20k plus) would be very difficult, if not impossible.
--- Run numbers for possibility of charter members paying three months
up front, and other similar schemes.

- Continue to explore the prospect of a benefactor who is in a
position to help-- David Rose & others.

- Settle on a name for the space using Bricabox... I was hoping that
choosing a name wouldn't have to be a big group event, but the perfect
name has not yet emerged.

- With new name in hand, develop a site that lays out the exact
offerings of the potential new space-- specific enough that potential
members can publicly list their interest.

- Determine level of interest based on public signup data.

- Explore simpler approach - rent apartment & run organization
informally?

Much more to discuss soon. Thanks to those who came out and see all of
you Thursday for TechDrinks III!
