TechDrinks III

Hey guys,

I've been tentatively planning on TechDrinks III for this Friday, but
it took me a while to confirm the location and decide on the exact
date.

There's no RSVP yet for it, and I'm not entirely sure whether to run
the event or not. So it's up to you guys:

1) Hold the event this Friday anyway; the short notice is no big deal!

2) Hold the event next Friday (on 1/18) to give more advance notice.

3) Hold the event in a few weeks (2/1) so we can pack the place!

I am leaning towards 3 over 2, because I want to make sure we keep
TechDrinks just rare enough that it feels special when it happens.

Thoughts? We'll decide today.

I'm down with 1/18 or 2/1. It occurrs to me that you could multiple
events, both sooner then later.

We've had a tentative date set for a TechDrinks this Friday, but we couldn't nail it down for sure until recently– so here's the deal. Lunasa Bar is the home of TechDrinks, and this Friday, I'll be there along with several other CooBric'ers.

All are welcome to join. Because of the short notice, the event will likely be a bit smaller and more intimate.

As always, the drink and food specials are awesome.

No need to RSVP. Just come by!

The next full-on crazy RSVP TechDrinks spectacular will be either January 31 or February 1. Stay tuned for a confirmed date.

I need some information on text messaging services. I was hoping one
of you is experienced in this area.

I am evaluating a business model and would need the following
information. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

1. What kind of technical infrastructure (apps, bandwidth etc.) do you
need to send personalized text messages with ads in them to subscribed
consumers?

2. Is there a cost that i will have to pay the service providers like
verizon, sprint etc. for each text messages sent?

If you are experienced in this area, i would love to chat with you.
Maybe we can help each other out.

Hello Everyone,

I am sure some of you are doing great things in widgets. I have some
basic questions and if possible would love to chat one on one. I have
some specific questions about widgets. Hope this community can help.

- How difficult it is to integrate your app as a facebook or myspace
widget? I know it is difficult but some rough ballpark would be great.

- Do social networking sites allow Ads in widgets on their website? I
read some articles that facebook is enabling some of it.

- Also, is there a way to include audio based ads instead of Text
based in widgets? For example, play an audio ad in between songs.
