Subject: [co-op-work] Reminder: Phone conversation next Tuesday, Oct 20

Greetings All,

Just a reminder, our monthly phone call for Cooperative Maine goes
next Tuesday, Oct 20, at 9:00 am. As far as I know, the call-in info
is the same as last month:

Phone 1-800-910-2399

I am accepting agenda items for the conversation. So far we
tentatively have:

-Common Ground follow-up
-organizational structure

Other items?

Hope to talk to you next week!

Davis

Davis, here's some follow-up on the MOFGA table - there was a COA student who did sign the sheet on the clipboard and took materials.  He is from Ecuador.  I gave him your name.  Maybe you could find him if he hasn't found you.  Paul has those sheets still, I think.     Carolyn Pressley

Does anyone in this group want to talk about local food and how, if at all, this group might help foster more a cooperative local food web? If there is no real interest, leave it off the agenda.

FYI: "Buying Local Food All Year" (Bangor Public Library Weds. Nov. 4, 5:30pm) will review local options and demonstrate how one group is using online ordering with a simple google system. New members can join the Bangor Local Food buying club ($5 annually) and place an order at the meeting for delivery Thursday, Nov. 12. Anyone interested in starting a club with a few neighbors, downtown chefs and local eateries, as well as local producers (bring your rate sheets and other information!), are encouraged to attend. We can help small groups set up their own clubs and have a revolving loan fund so they can get a good digital scale right away. We will also have info at the meeting about the protest against Monsanto advertorials on MPBN at its Community Board meeting on Texas Ave. (Bangor) 10am Sat. Nov. 21.

As I did at the Local Food conference at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor two weeks ago, I will distribute Cooperative Maine flyers if I have some. Short on cash. Anyone who can print and mail me flyers, please do:
