GUESTS: Tootie’s Tempeh, Liberty Graphics, and Diggers Cooperative

DESCRIPTION:

Any business; including farms; food processors; and grocery stores; can be a democratically-owned and controlled cooperative; owned by its employees; customers; or suppliers. Maine business owners who are considering retirement especially can sell to their workers; and there are resources; financing and successful examples of worker ownership transitions to support them in the process. Hear from the Cooperative Development Institute; the Cooperative Fund of the Northeast as well as owners and workers about how cooperative formation works; how it can be financed; and how cooperatives can make Maine's economy more just; sustainable; and prosperous.

See you there!
