LA Community Market, Lewiston’s multi-stakeholder cooperative, will begin accepting new members on February 12. You’re invited to be part of it.

This is more than a grocery store. LA Community Market is building a community-rooted food hub focused on culturally relevant retail, local storage and processing, shared ownership, and equitable food access. It’s about keeping resources circulating locally and creating a space where Lewiston’s diverse communities can see themselves reflected in the food system.

Join their upcoming event to learn about the powerful legacy of Black women–led food cooperatives, their role in building food sovereignty and economic self-determination and the ways that history is alive today on Lisbon Street. LA Community Market is continuing that tradition right here in Lewiston, grounded in love, culture, and community.
