Subject: Progress of the Co-op in Brooks

Greetings!

You are receiving this email to inform you of the progress of the newly developing Marsh River Cooperative.  We are hoping to open the new storefront in June 2014 (in the former Paul's True Value hardware store) in Brooks village.

The incorporating group of the cooperative is moving forward in the process of legally forming as an entity; we hope to complete this process in the very near future.

We're looking for volunteers to serve on a few committees as we move forward!  If you are interested in being a part of any of the following, please contact the person listed for the committee and consider attending the next scheduled meeting:

Policy Committee
Led by Ed Hamel & Mike Switzer; this group will begin to discuss membership shares in the co-op, purchasing policies, etc.
Next meeting: Saturday, January 25th at 5:00pm, 630 Veteran's Highway (Route 7), Brooks; Potluck Dinner
RSVP/Contact: Mike Switzer njbo...@aol.com

Budget Committee

Led by Izzy McKay & Mark Thompson; this group will begin to draft a budget for the co-op and discuss potential membership share prices with the policy committee.
Next meeting: Wednesday January 22nd at 5:30pm at Stantial Brook Farm, 146 Underpass Road, Brooks
RSVP/Contact: Izzy McKay stantial...@gmail.com

Building Committee

Led by Izzy McKay & Mark Thompson; this group will begin to discuss building/storefront logistics, including coolers, shelving, water and septic usage, etc., and will begin to plan for construction projects

Next Meeting: Thursday, January 23rd, 4:00pm at the Co-op building (5 Veteran's Highway, Brooks)
RSVP/Contact: Izzy McKay stantial...@gmail.com

If you can't make the meetings listed above, but are interested in a committee, please email the contact person and let them know; they can then add you to the committee list for future meeting invitations.

All good things,
Lauren Errickson,
for the Marsh River Cooperative
