See below. Forward to whoever else you think would want to play, but be sure to let me know their names/e-mails so we can keep everything organized. Entry is $25 and you can venmo it to me instead of Elliot. The pot total is at $800 and continues to go up. Depending on how big it  gets we will probably work it out where 2nd (and possibly 3rd) get a share.

Subject: Masters Pool

Guys,

Please bear with me on this long email. I want to answer all potential questions up front.

We've had a good many people interested in the masters pool this year, and as of now I would estimate the total purse to be $400. If we continue to get new people it could easily grow.  So this is just the first round email.   So for now I will stick to a "Winner takes all" format, but if we get a total purse above $500 I may let 2nd place take home up to $100 (obviously depending on the number of additional people).

So it is going to be $25 per entry - 2 entries allowed per person.

We are going to use ESPN's best ball challenge to run this pool.  It is a Salary Cap Best Ball format.  Everyone will select 4 golfers before the first tee time on Thursday morning that cannot be changed during the 4 day event.  If you have someone on your team that misses the cut - tough luck.  You will just have fewer golfers playing each hole on the weekend - essentially decreasing your odds of doing well, but not directly eliminating you from the pool.  It would still be possible to win the pool with only one golfer making the cut.

Best Ball Format:  Your team score is computed by taking the best score from your group of four players for every hole - leaving you with an 18 hole team scorecard after each round.

Salary Cap:  Each entry has a salary cap of $50 Million.  Every golfer has a value assigned to them based on how good they are.  You can chose any combination of players as long as you stay under the $50 million salary cap.

ESPN Link:  http://games.espn.go.com/best-ball-pga-majors/2014/en/group?groupID=19569

Group Name:  Tiger Blows

Password:  Amen corner

**ESPN sets this fantasy game type up for all four majors, but we will just use it for the Masters and the other three majors are irrelevant**

How to Pay?  This is key.  I would prefer everyone to pay me via venmo if possible.  It's a pretty good app that easily allows you to transfer money.  It allows you to find contacts from Facebook or phone contacts - so you all should easily be able to send me $$.  If you would rather send me money you can do that also.  My address is 3320 Eastover Ridge Drive Apt C, Charlotte, NC 28211.

Please feel free to invite any friends that I forgot or any of your friends that want in (you many have to send me money for anyone I don't know).  Once you create an entry I will text you individually regarding the $25 entry fee.

Good luck to everyone,

Elliot

I'll be there, Tom. No clue what all those tall guys are trying to do with that orange circular thing anyway.

It is a short window, but for $10, you can start the day off with a couple beers and start feeling better about not getting into Big Sky. Afterwards, we are keeping the options open, but can head over to the North Morningside house in the Virginia Highlands or go snag the porch at Felinis.
