Position : Unix Admin

Location : Dallas TX

Duration : 12+ Months

Job Description:

Unix admin with good experience on:-

Unix Infrastructure - Platform and Data Center server migrations
Virtualization Skills - Solaris Zones/Ldoms, Server Virtualization
Scripting - Server automation via Shell or awk for daily tasks
Operating Systems - Sun Solaris 8,9,10, RHEL 5.x/6.x
Experience on Satellite server, Jumpstart/Kickstart and VMware (optional)
Unix Tools - Veritas Cluster server, Veritas Volume Manager, NFS, LVM, Solaris networking (IPMP/NFS)
Oracle Enterprise - M4000/M5000, M9000, T-series, High End Servers
File Systems - Good understanding and troubleshooting skills on ZFS and Veritas File System
DR Strategy, Architecture, Design and sizing of platforms
Clustering Solutions - Veritas Cluster with Solaris Zones
Live upgrade and Patching/Upgrade exposure
Planning and implementation of various system projects and ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner as desired
Process change requests and participate in change management meetings
Co-ordination with Core Storage/Network/Application team for successful migration
