Hi all,

Has anyone been able to adapt Coolprop to run in Google Sheets?

If so how, did you go about it?

If not, how would you theoretically go about it?

I am prepared to go as far as re-writing the code in Apps Script, but I would appreciate any help or guidance on the matter.

Thanks
Dmitry

I am not sure this would be possible, since CoolProp is compiled code, and getting that sort of code into cloud computing platforms is never easy.

I don't think you want to rewrite CoolProp; it is several tens of thousands of lines of code and a massive undertaking. better would be to try to figure out how to get Google Sheets to call compiled code, either via calling a shared library or via Python. I think both would not be permitted by their security :(

Thanks for coming back to me.

Have you ever thought about building a Coolprop Rest API ? I'd be interested in contributing :)

No REST API exists for CoolProp, but you would be welcomed to develop one.

Hello,

I want to use CoolProp on google sheets.
Wanted to know if anyone is successful in implementing it.

Found another discussion here regarding this. (https://groups.google.com/g/coolprop-users/c/9j-SaHsz3oc/m/TB7CIoWPCQAJ)

Based on what I could search Creating API, hosting it somewhere, and an AppScript function querying it.

Would like to know what would be the best way to approach this.

Thank you!

Copy the template here and use PropsSI, Props1SI, and HAPropsSI just like you would in the excel wrapper.
