Hi,

I am new to both CoolProp and Python, and anything similar.

I have installed Python 3.7 however I am struggling to install CoolProp.

I am following the instructions on this page; http://www.coolprop.org/coolprop/wrappers/Python/index.html

Using the easy "automatic installation" instructions, ie I just typed "pip install CoolProp"

However, this returns a Syntax error.

What should I actually be doing?

Thanks

Hi, we could not keep up with the Python releases so there are no files for Python >3.5 .

If you want to use automatic installation, go with Python 3.5.

Jorrit, It would be a one liner to update the docker images to add python 3.7, right.  Should we do that?  If anaconda has moved to 3.7 this is going to become a popular request

You need to run the command pip install coolprop at the command prompt, not at the python prompt.

3.7 will be released next year, the current python is 3.6
But there are also no wheels for 3.6 for the release, only for the nightlies
