Hi,

What is the best way to add new refrigerant in CoolProp. For instance, R455 (75.5 weight% R1234yf, 21.5% R32 and 3% CO2). Is there a built-in function in CoolProp to create custom mixture using the already available mixture components, similar to the way used for the other common refrigerants? I am looking a quick and simple method, otherwise I may be better off using manual calculation using thermodynamic tables.

PS: I have seen discussion in this forum recommending using REFPROP, and I don't have a commercial license for REFPROP?

Kind regards,
T A

Use the low-level interface, specify the composition via one of the composition setting functions. Some docs here: http://coolprop.org/coolprop/LowLevelAPI.html#things-only-in-the-low-level-interface. There are setters for mass and molar compositions.

Yes, you can use the low-level interface and specify the composition. See : http://coolprop.org/coolprop/LowLevelAPI.html#things-only-in-the-low-level-interface
