What's everyone here up to? Does anyone still watch their videos? Any MJ sightings? LOL. It looks like Brendan and Shawn have packed on some lbs.

I don't really watch them much anymore, but I'm still subscribed to them, so their videos still pop up on my feed. I did recently watch one of Brendan's live streams and *not* surprised to see he's put all the weight back on. From what I've gathered, his mom is ill, and he's stress-eating. Sadly, I doubt he'll ever get back into the right mindset to lose the weight again. Not sure about Shawn's life atm - does he still live with their parents?

Chauncey still lives with parents, I think his brother only works on these scripts. He definitely makes more money now than in the pndmc era - when he was spending $120 on paper plates, but not enough to afford a property in San Diego.

They've become like the Russo Brothers of indie horror.

I must admit I am impressed that Chauncey has built a career out of these David Sterling-esque movies.

I'll check out Chauncey's channel every few months. I don't bother with those weekly updates, I use more substantive movie reviewers to find movies.

I'd be interested in behind-the-scenes vlogs of the films he directs, but those films are shot so quickly that he doesn't have time.

I don't really watch much of the new content but I have found myself going back and watching some of the videos with MJ again. I remember a number of years ago Shawn said that he and MJ had spoke or something, sad to see that a reunion never happened.

I don't really watch them. I sort of checked out of their videos a long time ago. I will randomly check in with them to see what's going on. I have to say, good for Shawn, he seems to be doing well. He's now writing/directing some low budget horrors. I can't speak for their quality, but at least he's doing something he's passionate about.

As for Brendan, I don't see much going on. What happened with the crew? I haven't seen Danny (cinestalker) hanging out with Brendan at all. They seemed like friends at one point, but Brendan's social life doesn't seem as booming as it once was. 

It's unfortunate that this page dried up. I did enjoy reading the discussions here. I can't say I am surprised, though, since their lives/videos just don't seem as interesting as they did during a certain point.

Danny and Fluffy are doing their own thing. Fluffy lives in Texas, I think? The 90s chick (who obviously didn't care about Brendan) ditched her channels and started a completely new identity (not surprising given how she would latch onto popular trends). I think someone mentioned that Brendan is no longer following Luna. Not sure what she's doing now. Tbh, it didn't seem like any of them were genuine friends outside of Shawn/MJ and Brendan/Gabe. I think Brendan considered Danny a friend more than the other way around. For Brendan, everyone we saw in his videos was the extent of his social circle. It was the same with Shawn before he started directing. It's nice to see Shawn and Brendan on good terms. I feel that Shawn might be the closest person Brendan has to a friend right now aside from Aaron.

Gabe appeared in a convention video a couple of weeks ago. He seems to be doing okay. You never know what's going on with that guy. Brendan did a commentary of that classic "Gabe's New Job" video (the pyramid scheme). You know things are drying if he's reacting to his old videos. I would like to see Shawn and MJ do some commentary on their older videos, but I've given up hope on any kind of reunion.

Brendan wasn't following Luna, but she posted a Happy Birthday story on IG and it prompted Brendan to refollow her.

Itzmoe / 90sKidsForever actually blocked anyone who followed Brendan, so she definitely trying to disassociate. She's relocated to Atlanta, and was trying to be a stand-up.

Now that Chauncey is directing films, he could easily rope up the Cringe Crew and get them a cameo. Like the good ol days, when Luna Brendan and Chauncey filmed Alien Vampire Busters. Chauncey got Luna to rub cream on his scalp, I suspect he was aroused lol. I wish that film would get released, but it seems to have been shelved.

I realize I'm way, way, way late responding, but I do sometimes still think about this place and miss the chats. And likewise, I haven't really been a consistent watcher of either channel here lately though I'm still subscribed to both. I did always hold out some bit of hope MJ would pop back up and in Shawn's videos again. As I often used to say around here, those days when Shawn was in Maryland and the two were still friends and did stuff together was my favorite period of the channel.

Everyone is trying to make money and be "famous" these days, so you don't see those authentic friendships on YouTube anymore. The Cringe Crew era was entertaining, but you could always tell that those guys cared about making content more than anything else.

I actually think the Cringe Crew did authentically enjoy each others company, as most of them were social outcasts. I think they used youtube as an excuse or a reason to socialize, as most of them did have a socially awkward nature. 

If you think back to the infamous beanie at the water park video - you can see how joyous they all felt to have company, and to be taking part in a youthful adventure. 

I'd say Chauncey has a lot of more going on in his life now - he's not unemployed, and directing films probably is more socially invigorating & rewarding than those 1 day shoots when he was playing "Awkward Frat Kid with a hat".

 But sadly the Cringe Crew has aged out of hanging out with each other.

With the exception of ItzMoe/90sKidsForever - she created a new social media identity when she moved, and has blocked all mutual followers of her old account and Brendan.

That does surprise me. He still a vegetarian and was eating like a gerbil the last time I saw him eat a meal with Brendan. His weight loss was largely from eating small volume and walking for several hours a week, might be hard to keep the weight off now that he's no longer only having a rice cracker with PB2 for lunch.

His PB2 diet wasn't sustainable. I think most people who go through extreme weight loss end up gaining most of it back. He weighed 450+ lbs at his heaviest, so he's nowhere near as big as he used to be. I would be interested to know how much he weighs now. 

Has anyone seen Dweebo/Ethan lately? He has writing credits on some of Shawn's movies, but hasn't appeared in any videos in a long time. He has a beard on his x/twitter account (don't think I'd even recognize him in public unless he was with Shawn).

No. I don't think Shawn shows much about his family anymore. I remember you'd occasionally see Gina and Herb, but his videos seem to be just exclusively just DVD updates and not really the Vlog style videos he used to do.
