I have to say, I hope he isn't going to the other extreme with his weight.

He posted on Twitter earlier today that he's currently at 115 pounds, from 327 lbs....three months ago. So he's lost 212 lbs. in three months, or nearly 6 lbs a week since February

I've always heard the "healthiest" rate is 1 to 2 pounds a week. Additionally, he's ironically now fairly UNDERweight. He's around 6 ft. tall or so, isn't he? For an adult male of that height, according to Google/Live Strong around 140 pounds is considered the lower end of the ideal weight range.

I mean, working on improving yourself and getting healthy is always great, but not to the extent of overdoing it.

That's definitely a typo. At his height, it would be impossible to weigh 115lbs. For reference; Demetrious Johnson was UFC Flyweight champion (125lbs, walk around weight - 140lbs), and he's 5"3 and shredded. Brendan is around 6 foot.

Edit - went to his stories. He was 327bs, down to 315lb as of today. It's a big typo, he's only lost 12lbs.
IIRC his lowest weight ever was in low 200 range. I think around 220-230lbs, including the excess skin.

Oh yeah, that makes a lot more sense that it was a typo. Admittedly, part of me had briefly wondered how could he weight 115 and still look way heavier than that.

At least he is trying to lose it. There has been times on camera where you can see he is quite heavy but he's done it before so he can do it again.

He looks okay to me. He has excess skin and lipedema, so I think a healthy weight range for him is more than the average person.

Interestingly, lipedema mostly affects women and it gets worse over time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipedema

He was dealt a bad hand in the genetics department.

That's maybe something he should look into also as he gets older, if that could end up getting worse for him and what he might need to deal with later on in life.

I think Shawn still has the excess skin too. I don't know why they wouldn't tone up or try and get rid of it. I don't know is that something that happens when you lose weight too quickly or is it just the size they were there was always gonna be loose skin no matter what.

The x-factor is Shawn loves being as small as possible, there's no way he would willingly put on weight (muscle). He spent his whole life wanting to be slender. Plus, it's much much harder to build muscle than lose the weight. Risk of injury. His lack of coordination and interest in fitness. Plus his low calorie & low nutrient diet would make muscle growth impossible. He would have to change his frozen microwavable diet. He also likes being "boy-ish", he's never wanted to be a Bruce Willis type. He's described that look as "not for him" because of his face.

There's no way he can get rid of it without surgery. Building some muscle will definitely look better combined with excess skin removal, but without surgical intervention there won't be any tightening of his skin.

I've only seen his upper part of his chest, but Shawn has less excess skin than most people who've lost 200+ pounds. He would probably get good results with surgery, but it would cost him 30k+ because he would get both arms, chest and most likely tummy. It's also a somewhat risky surgery, so best not go with the cheapest option. When he bought his car could have been a time to do it, but it is an invasive surgery so I understand the hesitance.

obese_to_beast on IG is an example of someone with excess skin that combined weight loss with bodybuilding.
