Hi,

I live in New Zealand and there isn't much of an Italian influence down here, except where I live and take Italian cooking classes at the local Community Centre.
I am blessed with having relatives in Campania and have learned a lot from them already.
But it is nice to have a supportive group to refer to and when my classes start next week I will be passing on the good news about fabulous Italian flavours and the simplicity of providing great food for our families.

Best wishes,

Hello Karen;

Thank you for writing. It's such a pleasant surprise to hear from you
again.

You must be very excited about your cooking class. Cooking is one of
those subjects a person may know well, but watching someone else do it
is always a learning experience because everyone has their individual
way of doing it. I know I learn a lot from watching cousins and great
aunts when we get together in Italy as you well know. I remember you
mentioned cooking with your aunt Vittoria (is it the right name?) when
you were in Italy.

Would you share with us some of those experiences? I know I'd love to
hear about them and most of the people in this group would love it
too. I feel strongly that this is one of the best things life has to
offer to those of us who enjoy cooking. For me it doesn't get any
better than getting together and cooking with family, and for family.
They are the times when I'm at my best.

Thank you again for writing, and I look forward to reading about your
class and your experience in Italy.
