Virginia Discovery Museum - Our Annual Wreath Sale Fundraiser!

| Good afternoon,
As many of you know, I work as a Fundraising Assistant for the Virginia Discovery Museum. The Virginia Discovery Museum is a hands-on children’s museum geared to young people ages 1-10. In 2002, VDM was named one of the top 50 children’s museums in the US by Child magazine. In 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008, VDM won a C-ville Weekly reader survey in the category of Kids Entertainment. Last year, VDM was the ONLY children’s museum in Virginia chosen as a site for the Smithsonian exhibition New Harmonies: American Roots Music. Over 59,000 families visited us last year, a new record!
Our mission is to bring young children and families together to engage minds, excite imaginations, and explore the world around them – and we do this on a miniscule budget with a staff of just twelve dedicated folks. Our annual wreath sale fundraiser provides 10% of our funding for educational programs like Starlab, Music & Movement, Magic School Bus Science Club, and Poetry Club.
$10 of your purchase is tax deductible, and wreaths make great gifts for family, friends, or business associates. Plus, we do all the hard work since shipping is included and each wreath arrives fresh with a hand-signed gift card.

everyone is doing well with their shares - I roasted about 20 lbs of
tomatoes over the weekend, plan to freeze and use over the
winter..........
