You’ll need:
· 9”x13” baking pan or casserole dish
· Double boiler (a saucepan with a glass bowl over it works too)
for melting chocolate
Ingredients:
· 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
· 1 cup butter, melted
· 1 cup peanut butter (processed, like Jiff or Skippy, works
better than natural)
· 2 cups powdered sugar
· 12oz bag of chocolate chips
· 4 tablespoons peanut butter
Directions:
1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and peanut butter
in large bowl.
2. Add powdered sugar ½ cup at a time, stirring well.
3. Press mixture into 9” x13” dish. If you grease the dish
beforehand the bars will slip out a little easier, but it’s not
necessary.
4. Melt chocolate chips and 4 tablespoons peanut butter using the
double boiler (real or makeshift).
5. Spread melted chocolate over peanut butter layer.
6. Place in fridge to harden for 1-2 hours. Remove from fridge
and let sit a room temp for about 10 minutes before cutting into
squares. DO NOT remove from pan/dish. If you wait much longer than
this to cut the bars the first time the chocolate is too cold and it
will crack a lot as you’re cutting the bars.
7. Put bars back in the fridge at least another 2 hour, but over
night is best. before removing the bars frm the pan, re-cut them with
a butter knife.
