Senior members at forum-xda have developed a windows tool which can root Samsung Galaxy S i9000 in one click (for 2.1 Eclair and 2.2 Froyo) and unroot Samsung Galaxy S easy way (For 2.1 Eclair only).
questions:
1. My samsung galaxy s is only 1 week old. If i root my fone will it affect the warranty?
2. Can i upgrade my firmware to 2.2 without rooting it?
3. If i root it now can i upgrade to 2.2 afterwards?
Rooting affects Warranty but it can be unRooted by ReFlashing to stock ROM, its not a big deal.
Yes, Upgrading to 2.2 does not necessarily require Rooting and it can be upgraded even after rooting.
Many have seen Alan Henry's excellent article on rooting the Nook Simple Touch. The method outlined in his article, unfortunately, fast fell behind the times. In particular, his method fails on the latest firmware version of the Nook (1.2.1). Fortunately the mad geniuses at XDA developed workarounds, in addition to developing new ways of bumping up the Nook's potency as an e-reader.
The rooted Nook absolutely kills its competition as a PDF reader. It remains the best E Ink device on markets, more than a year after it released, by a wide margin. Considering its month of battery life, rugged design and daylight readability, it's insane that no other manufacturer allows the rooting of their E Ink devices for use as a travel guide or offline Wikipedia device.
To any android developer, user or fan, getting Android device rooted is always the first step to go. Once rooted, we will be able to get the most of Android device including removing bloatware or pre-installed apps, customizing the appearance by changing fonts or installing custom ROMs, making it faster than before. Many tools are available to help you root Android device, but few of them are actually easy and fast, at least not easy and fast enough as Kingo one-click root.
Being compatible with just one specific android device is easy. A universal tool for various Android devices could be really difficult. Those with development knowledge and experience would be able to create and modify a simple tool to achieve that purpose, and this is exactly how the majority tools are coded. Those little tools, gadgets or programs have their own advantages, but limits as well. There is no safety guarantee, no pre-test or anything. Thanks to those developers, Kingo R&D Team could make this universal expectation of rooting Android happen by offering you the one and only universal tool to root your Android within just one-click, fast and simple.
Kingo Android Root is universal android root software that helps you root your Android devices, mobiles or tablets, within just one-click. The main function of this universal tool is to root your Android devices so that you could obtain the highest user privileges, thus you can remove, install or uninstall any applications on your device, stock or pre-installed, and give more space to customize your own device. It is simple-to-operate, safe-to-use, and easy on the eye. It is powerful, thoroughly-tested, widely-supported and stable enough to make you free of worrying. Most importantly, it is free of any charges for lifetime.
I think your approach is a bit flawed. First of all, the user can first install your application and data, then "root" the device (even if rooting wipes the data, one can make the backup first). Next, the general rule is that whatever is in user's hands is not yours anymore. The hacker will find a way to get to your data sooner or later.
As for client-side checks, you simply cannot rely on a programmatic approach to detect if you're running on a rooted device or not -- anything that is in client-side code can and will be hacked and removed. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to modify even Proguard-obfuscated code. At best, you force the hacker to spend a few hours or days to edit the code and recompile. This is security through obscurity, and not a viable protection mechanism.
1) no. how would you deny installation? why would a rooted device deny installation of something the user wants to install on the fs? being the whole point of rooting that you can make the device do basically whatever.
Here you can find drivers, Android updates and step by step Android rooting guides available to root your Android phone or tablet. With these Android rooting guides you will be able to root your SONY-ERICSSON Xperia X10 Mini pro(U20i) with Android version 2.1 Eclair-update1
For those of you new to the rooting game, we ran a poll asking users why they would root their phone a while back and should provide you with any answer you might need to take the plunge. View the poll here.
Rachel Beth Hanson,
They will have difficulty rooting if the straw is thick. It is best to make a small hole so that the adventitious root at the bottom of each node along the runner can come in contact with the soil. Once the root touches soil, it will grow down into it and establish itself independently of the mother plant. Good luck!

This worked flawlessly on my Sprint Hero 2.1. It took less than 3 minutes, once I updated the .NET framework. Thank you so much for the easy to follow video instructions. I do much better with pictures to follow :). Next, I plan to follow your video for installing a custom ROM tomorrow.
By the way, this is the first time I have ever done anything like this. I have been reading about it for months, just seemed too daunting a task, until I came across this video. Thanks again.
Android 2.2 isn't officially available on any device today. The only things floating around are leaked builds that aren't final. The closest you can get is the leaked Android 2.2 build available for the Google Nexus One on T-Mobile. It is feature complete and polished enough to upgrade as if it were final. Even AT&T Nexus One users don't have a simple path to upgrading yet - without rooting. In the coming months we expect to see the major Android devices get 2.2 (e.g. the Nexus One and the Motorola Droid) while towards the end of the year HTC users will finally be able to jump on board.
Silahkan mencoba!
