June Centering Prayer Special

Hello all you centering pray-ers--

 

A few times a year we here at The Center at St. Andrew's have the chance to do a few special centering prayer evenings. This June is one of those chances. I hope you will join us on these first three Wednesdays in June to sit in thirty minutes of silence together, to share some snacks, to watch a DVD, and then to do a little sharing.

 

The DVD we'll watch is a recording of Abbott Joseph Boyle of Snowmass speaking at the Contemplative Outreach Annual Conference a few years ago. I have had the opportunity to meet Fr. Joseph and hear him speak several times over the years. The humility of this man who entered the monastery as a teenager and has given his life to Benedictine "ora et labora," prayer and work, is charming and disarming. Through simple stories, he shares with us a huge storehouse of wisdom. I think you will enjoy getting to know him through this recording.
