Hello all you threads in the Contemplative Outreach
Northwest network!
Want to update you on some contemplative
opportunities and remind you of some events you may already have heard
about.
First, a new invitation: Contemplative Outreach's
annual United in Prayer Day is coming up in March. This year it includes a
virtual 24-hour vigil as well as a physical gathering. The vigil will be the
weekend of March 20-21. For us the physical gathering will be Saturday, March
28, assuming that we are connected across time as well as space. Were
unable to schedule anything earlier. I am attaching a flyer with details. I
think it will be a lovely day including centering prayer, lectio divina, and a
short clip of Fr. Keating with reflection on the mystery of God, part of his
series "The Gift of Life." Please let me know if you have questions or would
like to be on the list.
Want to remind you of other events:
March 14, 9am-1pm - A Centering Prayer Introduction
at Magnolia UCC, Seattle
March 20-22 - Silent Centering Prayer Retreat, The
Priory in Lacey (You could participate in the United in Prayer Day vigil while
on retreat!)
April 18 - Welcoming Prayer workshop, The Priory in
Lacey - This is the only time a WP workshop is being offered in Western
Washington this year. Please take advantage of the opportunity to learn or
re-learn this powerful practice.
April 24-26 - A Welcoming Prayer weekend retreat,
Portland, OR - Please let me know if you would like details and contact info for
this weekend retreat, a wonderful format for learning this practice and making
it a part of your life.
Feel free to be in touch if you have questions
about any of these events. Hope you will find an event and a time that work for
you--or maybe more than one.
Continued Lenten blessings,
cherry
