Hello all you Centering Pray-ers on this rainy
Northwest day!
I would like to invite you to an Autumn
Quiet Morning on Saturday, October 10, 9am-1:00pm, here at St.
Andrew's. I am attaching a flyer with more details as well as a
schedule for the long morning. When the busyness and demands of fall are set to
overtake us, we need this kind of "sabbath" time to return to the center and to
touch in with what is most important in our lives. I hope you will be able to
take advantage of this time of silence, stillness, and reflection--a true
retreat morning.
Please do let me know if you plan to attend so that
we can plan for space. When i get a sense of how many of us there will be, i
will send out another notice letting you know whether we will meet in the
library or the Parish Hall. Please let me know too if you would like to bring a
breakfast treat to share or to come early to help set up. Those things always
appreciated.
I also want to remind you of the Silent
Centering Prayer Retreat at the Priory in Lacey October 16-18. This
brief weekend retreat is a wonderful refresher between longer retreats or a good
way to get your toes wet with a little more silence than we have time for in
daily life.
Please mark your calendars now for the return early
next year of a special visitor. Fr. William Meninger will be with us
February 19-20, 2016. You will be receiving more details before too
long.
Two centering prayer introductory workshops are
taking place in November--one in Puyallup and one in Anacortes. I will send
details and flyers for these workshops as soon as i have them. All longtime
practitioners are always welcome to come to an intro as a refresher and also
as a way to support others new to the practice.
If you know of any events or group information that
should be shared with our network, please let me know. I would be happy to
communicate through email or by phone.
Hope you are finding the nurture you need on the
path, and hope to see you at the Autumn Quiet Morning.
Peaceful blessings,
cherry
