Hello all you centering pray-ers far and
near--
Want to make sure you don't forget
these contemplative opportunities this week.
First, Susan Komis from
national/international Contemplative Outreach will be with us here at St.
Andrew's on Wednesday evening. We will begin the evening with centering
prayer at 5:45. This will be, as usual, in the chapel UNLESS i hear back
from so many of you that we need to move prayer to the parish hall. If that is
the case, there will be signs, or you will catch on!
At 6:30 we will have a potluck supper in the parish
hall after which Susan will be presenting to us on the "Twelve
Principles of Spiritual Leadership." This will be a wonderful
opportunity to reflect on our spiritual journey and how it shapes who we are in
the world.
Second opportunity will be this Saturday,
April 18, at the Priory Spirituality Center in Lacey. Here is
your chance to learn the welcoming prayer or to deepen your
understanding and practice of it. Father Keating has said that the welcoming
prayer has not gotten enough attention and appreciation throughout the
Contemplative Outreach network. Here is a chance to begin rectifying that
dearth. This practice is powerful and profound in extending the consent of
centering prayer into our daily lives.
I am attaching flyers for both of these events.
Even though you've probably seen them before, with this message you will have
them at your fingertips.
If you know of anyone looking for a
centering prayer introductory workshop, there will also be one
of those this weekend with Paul Peterhans and John Eisen at St. Francis
of Assisi Church in Burien. Also attaching that flyer in case you are
interested or want to pass it on. Will keep you notified of other introductory
opportunities as they arise.
Look forward to hearing from you and seeing you, I
hope!
Blessings for untold Easter
joy..........
