Hello you Centering Pray-ers on this Northwest autumn day—
Want to remind you of these two upcoming events and invite you to participate.
First, there will be a morning workshop, an introduction to Centering Prayer, tomorrow, October 22, 9am-1pm, at St. Andrew’s Seattle. We will meet in the library. Your participation as a centering prayer practitioners would provide you with a time of refreshment and would provide support to two presenters-in-training, Pam Wilder and Michael Stuart, both committed practitioners who are just about ready to be commissioned by Contemplative Outreach. It will be a lovely morning that includes two periods of centering prayer. Plan to have lunch after you leave at 1pm, but we will have coffee, tea, and snacks for the morning.
If you would like to join us or you know of anyone else who might, please let me know by email or just show up tomorrow. Would be delighted to see you. Some other old-timers and I will be around to greet you.
Second, there will be a weekend silent centering prayer retreat Nov. 4-6, at The Priory Spirituality Center in Lacey. Like the semi-annual weekend retreats held at the Priory for many years, this one will be facilitated by Kay Kukowski and Mary Solberg. If you want to see how it might be to spend a little more time in silence, or if you need some silence to tide you over till the next time you get to go on a longer retreat, this weekend is a great opportunity in a peaceful setting with comfortable accommodations and a small group. Contact the Priory right away so you can be sure to be a part of that small group.
I have attached flyers for both of these events. Please write me if you have questions I might be able to answer, and feel free to pass this information along.
Many blessings,
cherry
