4Plug the round end of the USB cord into the back of the unit. Plug the other end of the USB cord into a USB power plug that you provide (Output voltage 5V DC Max, Amperage of at least 1.5A). Do NOT use a fast charging power plug as the output voltage might be higher than 5V (most fast charging power plugs support multiple output voltage).
3. Turn on Bluetooth on your device. Note: no need to pair and/or connect your device to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector from your device Bluetooth settings menu; The App will automatically locate the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector.
8. Success! The App is now connected to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector via Bluetooth.
If an activity content cartridge is inserted into the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector and the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector successfully detected the cartridge, you will see the drawings that are located on the activity content cartridge. You are now ready to draw using the content inside the cartridge or to take a picture and sketch it.
3. Choose one of the four filters at the left side of the screen; the filter will be applied in real-time for preview (adjust the filter level by swiping the slider). Please note that the 3rd filter (the one with the lock) is the step-by-step filer that is available for users that purchase the Yearly Premium subscription plan.
You will first need to enable Photo Library Access from the App Settings and optionally grant OS permission depending on your mobile device OS platform and version. Note that this is required only once.
Note: If you don't see all of the images that you have on your mobile device this is because you initially allowed the smART sketcher projector app access to Selected Photos. If you want to be able to browse all the images in your photo gallery you need provide our app access to All Photos (See more details below).

2. In the following screen, select the subscription plan you desire. A click on the subscription plan will display information about the subscription. A click on the START button will direct you to Google Play store / Apple App store subscription page where you can complete the purchase.
Please make sure that Internet connection is enabled. Internet connection is required in order to use Super smART subscription, complete a purchase, change or cancel it. The App will automatically detect if internet connection is disabled and will pop a message reminding you to enable the internet connection.
If purchase verification process failed (The app did not receive a purchase confirmation from Google / Apple), the app will consistently try again. If the issue is not resolved, contact our customer services for help.
In order to use activity content SD cards with your smART sketcher 2.0 Projector you will need an Extender that acts as an adapter that takes an SD card and can be inserted to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector cartridge socket.
5. Drag the Projector Brightness slider to decrease or increase the Projector light. The selected brightness level is automatically stored by the projector; next time you turn on the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector it will resume to the selected brightness.
If the content cartridge is inserted properly and you still see an Insert Cartridge message please check if you see any error message (it will appear at the bottom of the projected image in red font).

If you see a different error message, please open a support ticket for a solution (make sure to state the error message in the ticket description). In the meantime, you can still use the smART sketcher app to sketch your pictures or to draw your cartridge drawings by using the activity content SOS feature.
6. When you return to the main screen: if you have a single content cartridge downloaded on your mobile device, you will see the drawings of this cartridge. If you have multiple cartridges content downloaded you will be prompted to select the desired cartridge content to use.
Before following the steps in the below troubleshooting guide first make sure the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector is operating correctly: if the Projector is under-powered, Bluetooth connectivity will not work.
When turned on, you should see an image projected from the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector.
- If there is no activity cartridge in the Projector ear you should see an Insert Cartridge image projected.
- If there is an activity cartridge inserted in the Projector ear you should see a drawing projected.
In case you don't see anything projected, or in case you see an error message projected with the image (i.e. low voltage, etc.), you first need to troubleshoot your smART sketcher 2.0 Projector operation and only after it is working correctly to continue with this guide.
In order to locate and connect to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector, the App requires that Bluetooth will be enabled on your mobile device/tablet. If your device fails to connect to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector follow the troubleshooting steps below. Please note that the steps are different for iOS and Android.
Note: no need to pair and/or connect your device to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector from your device Bluetooth settings menu; the App will automatically locate the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector.
No other device is currently connected to the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector (only a single device can be connected at the same time).
Enable Location services
If the App fails to locate the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector, please make sure that Location services are Enabled on your mobile device. This is done from your mobile device settings menu and may change per vendor and Android version. The App will automatically detect if Location services are enabled or disabled. If Location services are disabled, the App will show a message prompting you to enable Location services.
You should not pair/connect the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector to your device via the Android Bluetooth settings menu. This will prevent the smART sketcher Projector App from finding the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector. To verify the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector is not paired in your Android Bluetooth settings menu:
Location services will be enabled.
The App will have access to Location services data.
This means that the user needs to provide the app permissions to access Location data. This is a one-time step; once the permission was provided, the app will not ask for it again. This is required on devices running Android 6.0 and above, but may also be needed on Android 5.0 devices depending on your device vendor and model.

3. In the opened Android settings properties screen for the smART sketcher App locate the App Permission settings and click it (the actual screen might look a little bit different depending on your device vendor and model.
On Android 12 and up Click the 'nearby devices' toggle to allow the smART sketcher App access to your device location. Afterwards, click the back button twice to return back to the app.
To enable in-app Bluetooth connectivity, iOS requires that:
Bluetooth will be enabled.
The App will have permission to use Bluetooth.
This means that the user needs to make sure Bluetooth is Enabled and to provide the App permissions to use it. This is a one-time step; once the permission was provided, the App will not ask for it again. Bluetooth access privileges are required on devices running iOS 13 and above.
Devices that were upgraded to iOS 13 and above need to update the smART sketcher App to version 3.56 (or above) in order for the app to comply with the OS requirements. Running older versions of the smART sketcher App will result in the App exit.
3. If you reach the Bluetooth screen in the App and clicking the Continue button does nothing, it might be that your device Bluetooth is turned on in Settings, but it is disabled in the Control Center.

The Flycatcher account creation is a one time setup. Flycatcher is the corporate name for the smART sketcher 2.0 Projector. Once an account is created, the App will remember the account details.
