ConvergeSouth 2010 on October 1-2, 2010, is open for registration! To
register, go to http://convergesouth.com and read the news, schedule
and new format - and then register! Expect a lot of updates as the
date grows near and we're constantly making schedule changes, adding
presenters and modifying sessions. ConvergeSouth is always a work in
progress.

There are 3 tracks this year with voted-for sessions - and we are
still seeking a few experts for some sessions. Know one? Are one? Let
us know! (Check the schedule and see if you know a session leader for
an "empty space.")

2010 Tracks:

Personal Branding Online
Internet Strategy for Small Business
Developers

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY SESSIONS
There will be one session in each track per time period - see the
whole schedule here: http://2010.convergesouth.com/schedule/ and that
will reduce the "too many great sessions competing with each other"
issues from conferences in the past. We also have special sessions
like "Pitch Camp," to learn how to pitch your idea to venture
capitalists (with real VCs in the room) and a "Web-Tech Shoot-out,"
that will be fun and exciting (thanks to volunteer Tammy Colson).

SATURDAY LUNCH PANEL
We're having a Saturday lunch panel with the topic "Internet
Legislation." US Congressmen Brad Miller and Howard Coble (tentative)
are on board as is NC Senator Don Vaughn (many invitations have been
sent to other legislators and are not yet confirmed). This *non-party*
information session will be a sit-down luncheon followed by what
promises to be a great panel discussion moderated by volunteer John
Robinson. All the food, as usual, will be coordinated by 5-year
volunteer Janet Wright.

VOLUNTEERS
Many thanks to our sponsor coordinator, volunteer Mark Tosczak, who is
simply amazing and to 5-year volunteer Lauren Polinsky (yes, related)
who is managing all ConvergeSouth social networking with volunteer
Brandon Burke who built the website with a logo generously donated by
long-time CS volunteer Anthony Piraino. Want to volunteer? Find us on
Twitter and let us know - we'll certainly find a place for your
talents.

MUCH more information to follow. See you October 1-2, 2010 at
ConvergeSouth!
