I have downloaded the corresponding driver from the HP Website and everything worked fine. But now there is no download and of course i didnt save it anywhere. The recommended Way over Windows Update just installs the Driver for the Printer, but not Scanner. But i really need the Scanner too. On my other PC, which had the driver installed, the Printer and Scanner works fine. But with the WIndows Driver there is the Scanner-Part missing. Has anyone saved it and can provide it to me, so i can save it? Every download i found didnt work.
sorry for the late Reply, Christmas was very busy. I just downloaded your Version 3 and its a Driver for a Deskjet Printer, which doesnt support my Printer. I need the Officejet 4500 G510g-m Driver.
I have an older printer which still in good condition, but the driver no longer works after updating to Mac Monterey. Does anyone know a way around this? I tried downloading a new driver and it won't install. I hate to buy a new printer if I don't have to. Thank you.
There is an HP 5.1.1 Printer Software Update download from Apple. The System Requirements say Not compatible with macOS v12 and newer. A number of HP Officejet 4500 versions (using a driver 3.3.2) are mentioned in the no longer updated article Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support. There have been a few reports about use of this download even under macOS 12 Monterey (for other models), but that would be entirely experimental in this case. It may not work at all, and an installation may be impossible. If you decide to test anything, make sure that backup copies of all important files (such as documents, photos, et cetera) have been made. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.
Sorry you're having this problem. I would first contact HP and ask them when and if a new driver will be released for your printer. If there will b none, then you can check at the site below where reliable volunteers write drivers for many older printers. There may be one there which will work for you.
