Can someone clarify what is the recommended approach for adding additional camera support to TX2 NX besides the few IMX sensors that are built in the kernel? Specifically, should I use LKM, kernel overlay with or without jetson-io tool, full kernel build from source, patch files, etc.? I see many different approaches on the forums and documentation but no tutorials from beginning to end and I am missing something. This seems like a topic that would benefit many people as cameras are constantly changing and computer vision is fundamental to the reason the Jetson platform is so popular.
If the operating system does not detect the camera, you must first make sure that the camera drivers are installed. In addition, do not forget that manufacturers of webcams strongly recommend installing the latest drivers. If you do not have the CD and installation files for your webcam, first of all, try to find them on the manufacturer's official website. If you could not find them there, do not hesitate to download free webcam drivers from our website.
Managed to install and configure the IP Camera (fixed, with H264) Driver (dated 12/18/2014) and am able to get the rtsp stream displaying on Apple IOS Control4 UI for each camera My camera does not support Snapshot URL or HTTP MJPEG Stream - only support RTSP.
However when you use the UI to navigate from Security-->Camera there is a grid of all the cameras but all with a waiting circle spinning round and round. Is there anyway to configure this so that it uses the RTSP stream?
I'm using this generic IP driver for a Bosch Flexidome Camera at a client's house, and I've got the camera working fine, however the snapshot isn't working for the thumbnail when I'm in the cameras page. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or if it is possible? Thanks in advance.
Of course, right after posting this I tried a few more things and was able to get it working. For anyone having issues with the same thing, what I had to do was change the .jpeg snapshot URL to " :80/snap.jpg?"
Looks like a common issue with HP Camera driver. I cannot understand how HP hasn't fixed this problem yet. Sent my brand new laptop back and Tech said they installed a new camera. But after having my laptop back for 3 weeks same problem as before and when I call tech support I have to play all the same games again for updates which my computer does not need. I need my camera to work on my new laptop and it has a big square in the middle of my screen with a camera icon that blocks my view of what is on the computer screen. How does this get fixed once and for all??
If your laptop is running the camera that has been developed for the Windows 7 OS, it might not be compatible with Windows 10 operating system. Thus, compatibility may be the main culprit of the 0xA00F4271 (0x80070001) error. To check that and fix:
I haven't done anything to the software unless I am on the phone with HP. HP replaced the camera but still it stopped working again. I don't want to do what you said until it stops working again. thank you.
I have read alot of discussion concering the issue of the IMAQ usb driver compatibilty and im still searching for a solution for my problem. Iam using labview 2011 on windows 7 and im trying to use a usb webcam in my labview program and it requires to install the IMAQ US camera driver but im having problems having the palletes for usb camera. I have installed the latest version for the vision aquisition software and i installed the usb driver found on this link ... plz can anyone help me with this problem?
I believe the best solution is to abandon the old IMAQ USB driver and replace the functions with ne IMAQdx ones.I did it on my computer and it works fine. The only change is that in my version you have to select a camera manually:
Help, my camera driver is gone. When I went to video chat with my daughter, which we have done before, I kept getting a message saying ("We cant find your camera", error code 0xA00F4244(0xC00DABEO). I looked up ways to fix the camera, which lead me to finding my camera driver, realizing there isnt one anymore. What do I do now?

Remove the battery from the battery compartment. If your computer has a sealed battery that cannot be removed, then perform a reset as shown in the HP support document: Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset.
If Device Manager does not recognize the webcam after the scan, Use Microsoft System Restore to go back to a time when the Webcam was working properly. If problems persist, the webcam may have become unplugged internally and requires service.
If nothing works, I would suggest this could be a hardware failure. I would suggest you contact our HP phone support for further assistance. Please fill in the product details to get the tech support number.
Hi,
I have downloaded the A1 1.2 Firmware update to my brand new MacBook Pro but when I Start the update a popup from "SystemSoftwareUpdater" comes up and says "You need to install Sony Camera Driver. Sony Camera Driver" then bunch of Chinese symbols.
I don't see a driver anywhere online that's generic. In the Sony A1 folder I downloaded a few other things but the popup continues to show up. Does anyone know how I can update the drivers on my camera?
Thanks!
John
compatibility issue encountered while I attempting to utilize an old frame grabber model, AS-PHX-D48CL-PE1, with the DCAM-API version 19.12.5902 for a Hamamatsu TDI line scan detector (12300-321). The system failed to recognize the frame grabber. As a potential solution, the request is made to obtain the DCAM-API version 15, which is believed to include the appropriate driver for the AS-PHX-D48CL-PE1 frame grabber. So please let me know if it is possible for you to share your DCAM-API v15 to driver my frame grabber?
Hi - I'm new to the community and hoping someone will be able to help me. My daughter is taking up photography, and I'm bringing my very old EOS 20D out of retirement for her to use to see if the interest sticks, before investing in a new Canon for her. I'm trying to get the 20D to connect to her Mac, but have no driver software. I can't seem to find it for download anywhere on the Canon site (only see image editing stuff). Would be so appreciative if anyone could direct me where to find driver downloads. Thank you!
You shouldn't need any software to transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. You should be able to connect the camera via USB cable and use the mac's file explorer software to copy the images from the camera's memory card to the computer. A better solution would be to remove the memory card from the camera and use a card reader to copy the images to the computer. That is how I do it.
Thanks, I tried both ways and it gives an error trying to access the card while in the camera. And it isn't connecting to my card reader either, leading me to think I need some sort of driver software for both devices to connect to this Mac. New Mac...old camera and old card reader. I found a low cost new card reader that claims to plug and play on the Mac so I'm going to get it, and hope that solves it! Thanks for the reply.
You're welcome. It should work with the new card reader. If you want to re-visit the USB cable to camera file transfer, I have heard that on the newer mac OS there is a setting to allow USB port connections to devices. I don't have a mac computer, so I can't give specifics on how to do that.
Well, I forgot to add the source command in my .bashrc. After sourcing the setup.bash file the first error becomes[ERROR] [1394169434.884048329]: Failed to load nodelet [/camera/driver] of type [openni_camera/driver]: Failed to load library /home/veerachart/Research/catkin_ws/devel/lib//libopenni_nodelet.so. Make sure that you are calling the PLUGINLIB_EXPORT_CLASS macro in the library code, and that names are consistent between this macro and your XML. Error string: Could not load library (Poco exception = /home/veerachart/Research/catkin_ws/devel/lib//libopenni_nodelet.so: undefined symbol: _ZTIN7log4cxx7helpers13ObjectPtrBaseE)
when you type "lsusb" you can see your kinect? You are using an USB3.0 Port? Only the camera/driver process died or a few more? Maybe you can try "killall -s 9 XnSensorServer" and then start the driver again. If it doesnt work, please try another USB port....
