TheFootball Manager 2024 youth intake dates let you acquire the knowledge of when the playable nation produce newgens in Football Manager so you can scout for newgens as soon as they arrive!
As seasons pass by, players and staff all around the world will naturally age and eventually retire since they either get too old to maintain the physical level required to play football at a certain level or too old to coach. To compensate for players (or staff) retiring in Football Manager, Sports Interactive has found a way to combat this by generating new players and enroll them into the game at certain points, which coincides with the annual youth intake.
The quality and quantity of Football Manager newgens are based on a number of factors. For nations, their level of reputation, youth rating and game importance are decisive factors for the number of newgens generated in a nation and how often they will generate players of a certain quality.
A club lower down in the pecking order will NOT naturally generate only poor players whilst a club with a higher reputation and youth recruitment will generate only five-star players. It simply limits the chance of producing quality newgens by being behind in the pecking order.
The youth importance describes how important developing youth are considered to be for the club. It ranges from 0-20 but the exact level is hidden and only visible within the editor due to realism and gameplay.
Youth Importance has therefore no direct impact on the production of youth, the quality of the youth intake nor the Juniors quality but can be a decisive factor for minor teams who wish to improve future youth intakes by upgrading the facilities, as making board requests to upgrade the facilities may be approved more often (if club finances allows it).
There are multiple ways of scouting for newgens in Football Manager. You might use search filters, screen flow, or specific scouting assignments to find future wonderkids and hidden gems, but a great way to find every player generated from the annual youth intake is by visiting the World Transfers and sort by Youth Intakes.
Then, it all depends on whether the game finds it purposeful to generate Juniors within a nation and how many clubs will have their youth intake that year. For some smaller nations, the youth intake may only last a day or two, while others will last approximately a month. A playable nation with more active divisions will take a longer time to generate youth than a smaller nation of less Game Importance.
For instance, a great approach is to set up scouting assignments to Central Europe prior to March as most of the European nations have youth intake from the beginning of March to the end of April. Similarly, most of the clubs in the continent of America will have youth intakes between September and November.
The whole point of this article is actually not about the exact dates but really by giving you the exact time at the year to set up scouting assignments for each nation in order to spot the newgens coming through.
Do remember that all clubs will have their youth intake starting from January 2024. Only the lower leagues of Sweden may produce Juniors on Christmas Day 2023 (25.12.2023). Which nations will produce newgens and the quantity of the youth intake will depend on the playable nations you select and their neighboring countries.
In fact, there are two types of youth intakes in Football Manager. The ordinary one which this article depicts and a second one where the game itself adds players to lower-league teams since the game felt it necessary to generate more players. Most often, the age of these players is above their 30s.
Newgens are players created randomly from the database, and appear in the game when a new season starts. These players replace players who have retired, to make sure that there are always a large amount of players in the game. It is very unlikely that you will have the same regens as anyone else, because there are so many different players that the game can make. There is no guarentee that if one world class player retires he will be replaced by another potentially world class player. They may not even play in the same position, or be from the same country. The following list explains the dates that new regens appear in each country. This is also the date that the league table is refreshed.
Greyed-Out players are basically gap-fillers. These are players that are put into your team whilst you don't have enough players, to ensure that every match can be played. You can offer contracts to your own greyed-out players, but not to other teams. As soon as you have enough players to field a full team the grey players will disapear, never to be seen again.

Hey guys, just a couple of quick tips today on FM 2014 youth intake and the Football Manager 2014 regen dates. Every year I try and find the best new players that FM has generated, those 15 year old wonderkids that can make my save so much more personal.
With this in mind, missing key youth intake dates could be a disaster. To avoid this I simply set reminders on my calender, so that a news item appears in my inbox to remind me when each country has their youth intake, I strongly recommend doing this as below.
The problem is that each year the date gets put back one day (so march 8th first year becomes March 9th next), so I just made a new reminder set to go off during off season to check and fix reminder dates
I tried to do this for the first time and scanned the youth intake page on transfers on 8th march for france, germany etc.. Sure enough there were players there but all had been already contracted to clubs.. Any advice on how to find them before they have been tied up ?
Does the regen date change dates from season to season? EG. Brazil 20th Sept in the first year but is then 21st Sept the next year?? Please help beacuse i looked for Brazil regens on the 20th of sept in 2017 and i could find any at all
Thanks! Unfourtunately I was a little late getting to Brazil in my Villa Classic Save, but I did sign the Brazillian Ronaldo (I actually made a manager in Chelsea just to see how good his potential was in the higher reputation, 5 stars :e) Unfourtunately, It took an amazing 13m fee rising up to 15m to manage to sign him (Monaco offered loads for my Agbonlahor)
Welcome to the FM 23 regen dates article. Which is also called FM 23 youth intake dates. On certain dates, random young players created by the game engine. These players are called regens. That day differs from nation to nation.
A regen player may have a huge potential. But without the correct personality, that regen can never reach his potential. Check out my FM personality guide for the best player characters. So, what to do with regen with bad personality? Either let him go or start a mentoring program. Mentor must have high determination, good personality, and high squad influence.
What is a regen in FM? It is a randomly generated young player in Football Manager series. Main purpose of this is to replace retired old players. So that the number of players in the database stays the same. These players are called newgen as well.
First 11 countries of this list are top tier regen factories. Because of their world ranking. My favorites are Brazil and Argentine since players from that countries are relatively cheap.
I want game to produce strong regens from small countries like san marino , laos , burundi etc. I increased all stats in tactical attributes and generated players screen and played the game like 2 years but nothing happened . Game still doesnt produce good regens from countries which i edited them . I want small countries to dominate football and i don't wanna increase players stats one by one . Any idea how can i increase regens quality ?
might be worth trying with the pre game one once again and see what happens....personally I just find the dates when a batch of regens are released in game and use FMRTE to adjust accordingly, there was a thread at SI with all the dates and sortitoutsi usually put something up too
