error: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: java.net.UnknownHostException

If I perform this command: ctl-exec -I tags=test -- uname on my remote client I get the above error. but if I perform it on the server I do not get the error.
the remote client node and the client on the server both have the Test tag.
any idea what's going on?
