this would mean the lead screw pushes a delrin nut that can float
around but press on the pressure plates...

if the tube was used it could be tapped with a drill press by putting
the tap in and turning by hand...

springs could be used to reduce backlash...

2 options drill and tap delrin or UHMW poly... rod
