Cha Dal-gun (Lee Seung-gi) works as an underrated stuntman, while simultaneously taking care of his orphaned nephew, Cha Hoon (Moon Woo-jin). Although they have a fairly loving relationship, Hoon argues with his uncle before he leaves to go on a field trip to Morocco after Metrojet Flight 9268. Just before the plane takes off, Hoon sends a video of himself encouraging Dal-gun to continue following his dream to become a master in Taekwondo. At a drama set Dal-gun watches a report of a plane crash that killed over 200 civilians due to structural failure.

The action scenes at times could be really impressive, but often the video shooting could look like it was being recorded by Kim Woo Gi suffering from withdrawal. I liked the over the shoulder cam for some of the shooting scenes, and the hand to hand scenes though. I haven't watched many Kdramas but imagine this is somewhere near the top for eye candy.

The ending was deceitful imo and treated the audience like fools. After 16 episodes, basically nothing happened. One of the major pluses of Kdramas for me was that they were isolated shows with a single season and adequate conclusion. I cant believe the show ended the way it did, with an unlikely season 2. I'm not sure I would watch a season 2, but maybe read a synopsis just for closure... Here's to hoping Subway pay alot towards this!

For a person who's into and only watched rom-coms or just kdramas that center around romance in general, would I like Vagabond? I know the leads are romantically involved in Vagabond as well but it's more on the action side. I would like to give action kdramas a try but only if the chemistry of the leads is worth the watch. Please recommend me more romance dramas as well, something that's more on the mature side.

Vagabond initially received a lot of publicity for its big budget and excellent cast. Then it was evident early on that this was going to be a drama that was jam-packed with action, intrigue, and life and death stakes. So did it live up to the hype? It most certainly did!

So how about the reunion of Lee Seung Gi and Suzy? Overall, I was very happy with it. This is an action drama with Dal Gun and Hae Ri constantly in the middle of life and death situations, so romance really takes a backseat to everything, but they are working closely together for most of the drama, so we get lots of opportunities to see them interact. They are a fun duo to watch.

Without getting into spoiler territory, let me just briefly mention the ending. It introduces some interesting plot developments, but it leaves things completely open. As in, we really need a season 2, but as is usual with most dramas, there has been no confirmation of one.

Vagabond was a fun drama on so many levels. The thrills just keep coming thanks to a great pace, intriguing corruption mystery, and consistent plot developments. The characters are interesting and sympathetic as well as being very entertaining.

I definitely enjoyed this drama. I gave it an 8 because of the ending. I am not too bothered by the ending though. Maybe my mind is already waiting for that second season which may never come. I can definitely watch more of this. Lee Seung Gi was so good and Suzy was great too. And she is so pretty.

Lee Seung Gi opens up about the possibilities of the K-drama Vagabond's return. During an Interview he did in Thailand, The Law Cafe actor Lee Seung Gi spoke about the plans of making season 2 of Vagabond. The thriller K-drama Vagabond was aired in 2019 starring Bae Suzy, Tae Yoo, and Lee Seung Gi leaving fans with so many unanswered questions. Fans can not hold back their excitement after hearing about the K-drama directly from Lee Seung Gi.

Action thriller Vagabond was a huge success in 2019 which left fans in awe given its absurd ending. One of the most anticipated season 2 of a K-drama was never confirmed but viewers still had some hope left. During an interview Lee Seung Gi opened up about Vagabond and if there is any possibility of the next season of the K-drama. Lee Seung Gi said, "For season 2 we are still continuously discussing internally. We are still talking about producing season 2, not in the future but surely someday." Hearing about Vagabond from Lee Seung Gi, the news has induced excitement among fans and viewers, leaving them wondering whether Bae Suzy will reunite with the actor or not. Previously Lee Seung Gi had shown his interest in filming season 2 and fans only wished for it to come true.

Inaas Fatima Khan is a media graduate from the University of Mumbai. She is a Hallyu enthusiast from Korean music and Korean dramas of all genres to Korean culture, she loves it all. She has been writing professionally for a year now. Inaas loves watching films and series, 5? 6? don't know how many shows she is binging at a time.

Lee Seung Gi and Bae Suzy previously starred together in the 2013 fantasy series Gu Family Book. He played a half human, half supernatural creature known in Korean mythology as a gumiho. She played a martial arts instructor and female warrior. The supernatural love story received better than average ratings, but as Korean dramas are usually limited to 16-hour episodes or 32 half-hour episodes, there was no second season. This particular drama had 24 hour-long episodes but the romantic chemistry between the two actors was too successful not to revive in a new drama.

In their next drama together, Lee Seung Gi will play Cha Dal Geon, a stuntman who dreams of being an action star and uncovers a corruption scandal, while Bae Suzy plays a secret agent, who has only chosen to be an agent because of the paycheck. Shin Sung Rok, last seen in The Empress, will join them as a National Intelligence Agency official.

There are three characters that deserve a special mention in Vagabond. The first two are the mercenaries Lily and Do-su. The duo became a great light-hearted addition to the drama. Although they both played a relatively small role it was interesting to see how they ended up playing a crucial part in ensuring Dal Geon was alive. Lee Mi Young is also a superbly developed character and played a pivotal role of driving the plot forward. His blind loyalty to the president stops him from doing what is morally right and inevitably makes matters worse!

Vagabond is an intense Hollywood style blockbuster Korean Drama that is defiantly worth watching. It pays homage to Jason Bourne through it impeccable action sequences and stunningly shit locations. However, what you may find frustrating with Vagabond is the ending of the series which leaves on a terrible cliffhanger. What is even more bewildering is that it leave son a cliffhanger with no confirmation of a season two! Its a unsatisfying ending and does not deliver on a full rounded story like most Korean dramas do. So you are left the series will be renewed again in the future so we can find out what happens between Dal Geon and Hae Ri. There are are also quite a few questions we need answers to and characters we need to explore further too including Edward Park. So if a season two is announced in the future I will be sure to tune in to get some answers.

But is the meeting of the actors and the actors that are not proposed or received by the 'informal' process? On the 6th, the Gyeonggi Film Commission, which supports the production of film media such as movies and dramas, announced the support of shooting 'Vagabond' through its homepage. Lee Seunggi's name rose in the main column. Celltrion said that Lee Seung-gi was not confirmed on the news that he still did not have a 'public' proposal. At the same time, however, he said he had suggested Lee Seung-gi. To summarize, the PD who was in charge of the production suggested to the actor, but did not he have nothing to do with 'official'? It is a vague answer.

I like the PD and the writer I've watched their dramas. The kind of story and the genre (thriller.) I like.. I'm already thinking Jang Hyuk but he's doing another drama already. This is another one to wait and watch. Thanks for the thread.

Shin Sung-Rok will play a NIS agent but he will be the villian/ bad guy? Hope we`ll have more information about this drama. I think it will be a male centric drama but I want at least one strong and important female character.

The hero is the vagabond but he will need some help. Maybe the NIS team leader will help him. It would be nice to break the same pattern of the same bad guy roles but if he is the villian ...so be it. He will play a thrilling bad guy.

Must say the credentials behind the drama are very very positive as i've watched most of the dramas made by the writer and totally loved them(fair liked the ones where he was a duo with his wife more) and for me usually matters the most who pans the story and after the PD(as i see many look more into the later rather than the writer) ....When i first read the casting offer for SSR i actually belived he would be the main lead but seeing he is a NIS Boss makes me indeed curious if he will play on the good guys side or be the main antagonist..We all know he plays villian roles amazing but i hope he will change the pace and get a "nice" guy role even more coming from a villian role just recently...I was quite suprised seeing Lee Seung Gi's name pop up sooo soon and i must say even if the name was used as promotion tactic(as it's quite known) or not i can say i'd be excited to see him tackle another genre and be on the screen again soooo fast...I do love Seung Gi as the romance/fantasy genre main hero but it would be soooo nice seeing him in such a intense role as well and having SSR as partner even more...
