India needs $2.3 trillion investment in energy sector by 2035: ADB
India's energy sector will need $ 2.3 trillion in investments by 2035, accounting for bulk of the energy share in South Asia, according to the Asian Development Bank. Gamesa Wind signs up for 54 MW wind power project in Andhra Pradesh
Wind farm developer Gamesa Wind Turbines today announced it has inked an agreement with a power and utility company, for setting up a 54 MW wind power project in Andhra Pradesh. Welspun Energy to invest $1.6 billion in solar, wind projects by 2017

Wind turbine maker Suzlon today said it has bagged an order for setting up a 65 MW project in Uruguay.  "Suzlon Group announced a new contract win in Uruguay with a 65 MW project. NTPC plans to set up new mining unit for fuel security
NTPC Ltd, India’s single largest coal consumer, plans to create a separate coal mining division in an attempt to secure fuel supplies to run its thermal power plants.
