PLZ FIND APPENDED BELOW PERTINENT DETAILS REGARDING EVALUATION CRITERION IN CONNECTION WITH SEMINAR COURSE - CONTRACT STRUCTURING AND RISK MANAGEMENT.
A. WRITTEN EXAMINATION:
Will be held on 13.01.2011 between 4 and 5 pm. Focus would be on General Principles of Contract Law. Question paper will take within its fold MCQs, brief narration in the form of reasoning and description of core principles. Maximum marks would be 20 and duration is for one hour.
B. WRITTEN SEMINAR PAPER:
Either group or individual contributors must include an executive summary (in not more than 3 pages) focussing legal or statutory framework, essential trade practices, risk factors, significant clauses and contract premise and purpose. Normally each contribution should not exceed more than 25 pages. Core part of contribution must reflect from a practical point of view essential terms and conditions with comprehensive coverage in the form of an established and acceptable agreement format. Covering significant terms and conditions, after each such term or condition, explanatory note must be given. Purpose of this note is to communicate your understanding about that particular term or condition, underlying legal principle and the need for incorporating the same in the contract. Particularly clauses pertaining to risk allocation and management must be covered mandatorily. Written seminar paper carries a maximum mark of 50.
C. ORAL PRESENTATION:
Each group will be allotted 90 minutes for covering and completing all the individual presentations and interaction as well. If it is necessary extension is not a matter of constraint. To begin with, one member representing entire group or all the individual members is/are required to present an overview about the contribution particularly covering what has been stated in the executive summary which forms part of the written seminar paper. Oral presentation carries a maximum of 25 marks. Marking would be on the basis of individual contribution. During oral presentation, attendance is compulsory. Presentations would be held on 14th and 15th Jan. 2011.
