Looking for a Cutover Manager to oversee the end-to-end
cutover process for MES implementations, coordinating between
manufacturing, IT, operations, and project teams to ensure a smooth go-live.
The role requires strong project management skills, deep MES system knowledge,
and the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan & Strategy: create cutover plan outlining
tasks, dependencies, timelines, and resource allocation, tailored to MES
project needs
- Coordination: Lead cutover planning workshops,
define tasks, responsibilities, and validation steps, and coordinate
cross-functional teams (functional, technical, infrastructure, business)
- Risk Management: Identify, track, and mitigate
cutover-related risks, issues, and decision points; develop contingency
plans for rollback or recovery
- Execution Oversight: Oversee system freeze
periods, data migration, technical deployments (e.g., transports,
configurations), and business validation during cutover.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct and manage cutover test
runs and validation activities to ensure all system components work as
expected.
- Communication: Manage communication with
stakeholders throughout execution, support go-live, and coordinate the
transition into hypercare.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to MES best
practices, company policies, and project governance.
- Lessons Learned: Document and share lessons learned
and best practices for future MES implementations
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–8+ years in MES or ERP project
management, with proven cutover leadership experience
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of MES modules,
data migration processes, system landscapes, and integration points
- Project Management: Excellent planning, organizing,
and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under
pressure
- Tools: Familiarity with MES platforms
(e.g., SAP S/4HANA MES, , Siemens MES, Microsoft Project, Jira,
ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder
management, and problem-solving abilitie.
