Job Title: AWS Administrator with Redshift Expertise
Location: Titusville, NJ(Hybrid)
Duration: Long term Contract

Job Summary:


We are looking for an experienced AWS Administrator with strong expertise in Amazon Redshift to join our cloud operations and data infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will manage, maintain, and optimize our AWS environment with a focus on Redshift data warehousing, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and monitor AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
  • Design, deploy, and manage Amazon Redshift clusters, including node management, WLM tuning, and snapshot maintenance.
  • Implement data backup, recovery, and security strategies for Redshift.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize Redshift queries and table structures.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Configure and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) in AWS and Redshift.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and costs, optimizing resources for efficiency.
  • Implement logging and alerting systems using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to AWS infrastructure and Redshift performance.
  • Stay up to date with AWS best practices and evolving Redshift features.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an AWS Administrator.
  • 2+ years of direct experience managing and optimizing Amazon Redshift.
  • Proficient in AWS CLI, IAM policies, networking (VPC, subnets, NAT, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Redshift architecture, performance tuning, and workload management.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, and tools like Glue, Data Pipeline, or Airflow.
  • Knowledge of security practices including encryption, key management, and audit logging.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Terraform) is a plus.
