Concert and Community Dance by the Whippersnappers
with caller Paul Rosenberg
December 28; in Hubbard Hall: 25 E. Main St. Cambridge, NY
Dance: 4 p.m. / Potluck supper 6 p.m. / Concert 8 p.m.
The Whippersnappers—George Wilson, Peter Davis, and Frank Orsini—play everything from stately Old-world tunes to rousing mountain music and Bluegrass, sprightly jigs and reels, Uncle Dave Macon songs, Leadbelly blues, old and new folk songs, and a touch of Western Swing.
Concert Tickets: $25 general admission / $20 members / $10 student
Paul Rosenberg will join the WhipperSnappers to lead a foot-stomping, hand-clapping community dance featuring traditional dances of many cultures. Paul lets everyone know what steps to do and when to do them. You tap your foot, you hum along, and before you know it you'll be up and dancing. Fun for all ages!
Admission to the dance is $8 -- or just $5 for anyone with a ticket for the 8pm concert!
Bring a dish to share for the potluck following the dance.
