Hubbard Hall Contra Dance—Sunday, May 23, 4 to 6 p.m.

 

Beacon Feed Dance Studio in the Beacon Feed Building, behind Hubbard Hall

 

Music by the Cambridge Dance Orchestra, calling by Fern Bradley

 

In slightly non-traditional fashion, we’ll kick off our May dance again this year by plaiting the ribbons around the Maypole. We need at least 16 dancers to pull this off, so come and be part of this delightful weaving dance!

 

We’ve also extended an invitation to members of the Capital District Megaband (a special project of the Dance Flurry Organization) to join us and sit in on the tunes that they know. So we may have an extra-abundant Cambridge Dance Orchestra in May!!

 

We welcome and encourage beginner dancers. No partner needed. Enjoy easy and fun contra, square, and circle dances. Please bring a pair of shoes with clean, grit-free soles to wear while in the dance studio.

 

Potluck follows the dance at 6 p.m. Bring a dish to share and enjoy congenial company and delicious food.

 

$8 adults, $3 age 21 and younger, $15 families

$1 discount for Hubbard Hall and Dance Flurry Organization members
