Hello Everyone - I just wanted to let you all know personally that I am taking a few months off from teaching my public/evening classes at the KING KING and around town. We have had a very hectic, but WONDERFUL summer of touring, grant writing, expanding, mission building, performing, more performing and teaching LOTS of classes all over LA and on both coasts! We are now gearing up to take CONTRA-TIEMPO and a delegation of 12 other artists (21 of us total) - to CUBA in October and we need YOUR support! This is an amazing opportunity for us to use our most powerful tool : DANCE, as a way to build personal and artistic  relationships and understanding between peoples - and two countries that have had over 40 years of miscommunication, embargoes and sanctions - building figurative walls... We will be sharing our work for FREE - performing and giving masterclasses as well as studying with master artists in La Habana and Santiago de Cuba. We need your help to physically and figuratively break down borders! The tour is costing the company over $30,000 - we have already raised $12,275 and have $17,725 left to raise. That might sound like a lot - but in reality if everyone we knew gave $25 we could raise more than that amount in 24 hours! PLEASE BE A PART OF THIS NEXT STEP FOR CONTRA-TIEMPO and help us to share our work in CUBA!
