You'll enjoy grooving to the tunes of Melon Farmer Band: Merle Hall, Billy Kearney, and Jon Duvick (fiddle, banjo, and guitar), and the superb calling of Reid Miller.Admission
donation is $5-$15 (give what you
can); 12 & under free; $25 family maximum....to cover costs of the
hall and pay the band and caller. Snacks to share at break are welcome.
Come
early and dance late. Experienced dancers set the welcoming tone and
quicken the learning curve by showing new contra dancers the moves.
Everyone starts somewhere. Share your experience and love for the dance
community.
Look for easier dances early and more challenging dances after. Watch for a
techno contra (or 2), too; black light attire and glow sticks recommended.
