Can confirm seamless cop mod completely works in linux.
Add non-steam select seamless coop .exe and select start-in same path as eldenring.exe and seamless coop.exe.
Make sure to force compatibility and Proton 7.0 was the only one that worked.
Also takes about 10 minutes for the game to boot each time.
Just some classic linux/wine jank.
My buddy and I have been doing an entire playthrough of Elden Ring using Seamless Coop, and have decided to go for all achievements, Malenia has been the one thing in our way. We don't care about it too much to keep struggling. Godfrey took us full days and yet it always felt do-able. Malenia after the same time has not. Anyone have any advice, and/or is willing to join our seamless coop to help?
Just want the achievement, not even caring about the "actually doing it" part.
Thanks in advance, pretty new to Elden Ring and using vanilla online with my friend was so frustrating! Only turned off from seamless coop because I heard that all bosses of the host player get killed on your own save and I don't want to miss any cool dungeon bosses or anything.
I've tried symlinking the new exe (app exits) and running from the terminal (/.steam/bin32/steam-runtime/run.sh ./launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe returns ...launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error)
Good evening! Ive put about 8 hours into my seamless co op character (first also in the game as I bought it and immediately downloaded the mod to play with friends) Everything was working fine however I tried to go the roundtable hold and am now stuck in an infinite loading screen. the bar will fill and then restart, infinitely. The only way to get out is to alt+f4. I've created another character in seamless coop which works fine and my normal game seems to work, however this one character seems to have some issues.
So the game just updated and I used the new versions of the mods that came out but the seamless coop keeps crashing the game and gives this error message: Locale Path "Seamless Coop/locale" not found which has no fallback! anyonw know what that means?
To that end, the community has decided to set up a superior cooperative Elden Ring experience via unofficial mods. While this may have seemed like a pipe dream at one point in time, the developers seem to have a working system in place by now, and it's supposed to be coming out in just a few short days at the time of writing this article.
I foudn some tutorials on how to run DLS + randomizer, and ive tested and that works fine, however i was wondering if there is a way to implement seamless coop into the mix? Would like to play with my friends. Thanks for the responses. GL
Hi, im totally new to modding but my brother and i have been planing on playing elden ring with seamless coop for a long time. We both played the whole game on ps4 (when our PCs where potato) and now that we have stronger PCs and there is a sale we took the chance and bought our 2 copies of elden ring in steam right now, its not even installed. Is there a (step by step if posible) guide on how to install this mod?

There's a couple of problems that have come up during my groups seamless coop run that I want to address and hopefully recieve solutions for. If anyone has experienced these problems can you tell me if they caused larger concerns down the line or if you have any potential solutions, It'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
The Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op Mod is, well, seamless! I mean, boy howdy, Elden Ring sure is a neat game. If we had to choose a downside to it, however, it'd be its implementation of multiplayer. Indeed, there wouldn't have to be an Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op Mod in the first place if the game supported regular cooperative multiplayer by default.
Right off the bat, it's worth pointing out that - yes - this mod does make the game easier. There's no going about it: Elden Ring is built around a limited implementation of cooperative multiplayer. This mod cannot hope to rebalance the entire game to accommodate for a full 4-player group (though it does scale enemies up a bit). So, don't think of Seamless Co-Op as a competitive, lore-friendly mod at all. Instead, it's all about fun.
(This is going to be the hard part, basically we are going to create a copy of each of those files, but you need to understand that once we transfer the seamless coop saves into our vanilla, you will lose your vanilla saves, so make a choice on which save and characters you want more, but the good thing is that we have a copy of the vanilla save, so you can always go back to them)
I will try and help people in the comments, and also if you know a way were it is possible to transfer your seamless coop characters to vanilla and still have your vanilla characters, please let us know in the comments. I think the way would have to be using a save editor, but I haven't tested it
I've been losing my mind trying to mod my Elden Ring with Seamless coop and Grand Merchant simultaneously, since I lost my save file from my previous playthrough (I JUST beat Malenia) and have been trying to recover my gear. I downloaded Mod Engine 2 and got Seamless to work by dropping the .dll file and coopsettings in the "mods" folder, and changing it's load order in the mod_config file, but even after following the steps on the Grant Merchant mod page, I can't get it to load. It has no .dll file either so I can't set it in load order. Does anyone know how to run both at the same time?
Last year, modder LukeYui gave us the Elden Ring seamless co-op mod, so that you can play the game with your friends without having to fiddle about with FromSoftware's slightly archaic online functionality. Now, LukeYui is back, this time with a co-op mod for Armored Core 6. The mod is quite ready just yet, but a work in progress video (which you can check out below) has been released which shows it off in action. As LukeYui notes in the description, it is a work in progress, but honestly if I hadn't played the game I would believe that the co-op is built into the game.
From there, drag or paste the SeamlessCoop folder and launch_elden_ring_seamlesscoop.exe into the Game folder. The two files should be mixed in with a bunch of other data. From there, the only setup left is a password.
Open the SeamlessCoop folder and select the cooppassword file. This will open a Notepad file with a blank field for a password. Pick something that would be difficult to randomly guess. Then inform your fellow Tarnished and have them set the same password in their own cooppassword files.
The Elden Ring Seamless Co-op mod does a few key things that make the game way more accessible. In fact, the mod morphs it from being a predominantly single-player game where with a bit of faff you can call on players to help you in times of need, into a full-on co-op experience. The mod lets up to four players adventure together seamlessly, removing barriers so that you can cross fog walls together, all ride your own Torrents, and explore the entire game world without disconnecting. You can even vote on fast-travelling together. It removes pretty much all friction from the co-op aspect of the game.
The Elden Ring Seamless Coop mod is releasing on May 27th, 2022 on PC, and adds in a feature that Elden Ring fans have been begging for since release: a way to play unfettered coop with their friends. Basically, the mod "removes all multiplayer boundaries and allows for connections to persist after death", which is fantastic news. Game progression is also shared between all players, which can range up to a party of 4, or 1 host and 3 guest players.
For those who have four friends they want to play with, you won't be able to play with more than 4 players, as it was deemed to be "out of the scope of the project". That's more than fair, especially considering this mod is giving us 4-player persistent coop when we had nothing beforehand. There also won't be invasions, but if you need your fix PvP can be enabled between members of your party in order to get your hate on.
