ContinualAI Elections on the 26th!

Dear ContinualAI colleagues and friends,
It is my pleasure as current President of the organization to announce the formal election of the ContinualAI Board and President for the next two years from May 1, 2024 to May 1, 2026.
In the last 5 years we have worked hard as a collective voluntary non-profit effort to disseminate the importance of Continual Learning within our community and beyond. We have completed impactful and successful collaborative projects such as Avalanche and the recent ContinualAI Unconference. The condition of ContinualAI is slowly and positively growing both in terms of financial means and in terms of its participation and impact.
As President in charge in the last 5 years I want to express my deepest gratitude for the people that contributed to the project while announcing that I will not run for the Presidency at this time. I firmly believe in the democratic (and unique) nature of this organization, and I am convinced about the future success other people can bring.
You will be able to candidate yourself (only if you are a ContinualAI member, you can still join here) to be part of the Board and eventually as President by the 25th of April using this link. Elections will take place from the 26th to the 28th of April (a link to vote will be sent to all the official ContinualAI members via email).
Candidates will be ranked based on the number of votes and randomly sorted in case of a tie. The first 10 candidates will be selected as Board Members, excluding candidates with only 1 vote. The selection of the President will follow the same rules based on a separate ranking for the people who expressed their interest in running for President.
Finally, the new Board will replace the current one by the 1st of May.

The board of directors decided to extend the deadlines for the elections of two weeks.

Elections will take place from the 10th to the 12th of May.
