My last laptop was also Windows 10 (also Home, 64-bit) and the printer worked fine, and drivers were available. I still have that laptop, and it can print still using the installed drivers (version 2012.918.1.57980). So there shouldn't be any problem with the OS.
However, I can't find a standard driver download from HP. The instructions I find now are to use the in built-in Windows solution, though drivers for a 1018 aren't available there under the manufacturer 'HP', 'Hewlett Packard' or 'Hewlett-Packard'.
I have run HP Easy Start, which recognises the printer correctly, and directs me to HP Smart. HP Smart, however, cannot find my printer. HP Smart comes up with the error 'printer not connected by USB', yet devices and printers shows it as 'unspecified'.
HP Print and Scan Doctor also recognises my printer, and tells me that I need the installer for the full software solutions, and directs me to a web page that tells me to use the built-in Windows solution (which lacks anything for a 1018).
Its work, because dont have much diference. To windows 10, dont exist driver in HP site. It is recommended to plug usb and wait windows update install driver, but some times the windows 10 cant do it.
To install the HP 1018 printer with High Sierra I downloaded the file "HewletPackardPrinterDrivers5.1.dmg" from the Apple website (here: =en_US), I installed the software that was inside and then I installed the "HP LaserJet 1018" printer (which appeared among the printers connected via USB) using the "HP Laserjet 1022, 1.6.1" printer driver (shown among the drivers available after installation of the aforementioned software).

I tried to install this printer on a new Windows 10 (Home Edition) Dell desktop. Windows ADD PRINTER wizard was of no help because Windows 10 did not list any HP drivers. Trying to udate printer driver catalog from Windows Updates failed. I had to do this manually.
Unfortunately, when I put in HP Laserjet 1020, the HP website does not give me a driver to download. I am looking for a driver for Windows 10, 64 bit. You would think HP would adequately support their older, fully functional, printers!
Hi i have followed the advice HP have to go to win 10 and get drivers, but it is not working. could you just send me the HP laserjet driver 1018 and 1020 please. I have ended up going in circles and just can't get it to work. I have a wonderful HP1018 and it is working fine except when Win10 was re-installed they baselined and i lost the driver. i've been at this for hours! Please help!
This is so bad. When using the Scan Doctor and you try to Get Installer, it can't even find the page!!!! What are we supposed to do with our 1018 Printer? Just toss it because HP can't be bothered making the driver available? If I get a new printer, it sure won't be an HP.
I've gotten two old Ricoh Aficio 1018 laser printers in more or less perfect working conditions. These are A3 B/W office copiers from a long gone era, but since the are still looking good I don't want to throw them away.
The official Ricoh site has drivers for Windows, Mac and Windows Server, but for Linux they only have a "Unix Connection Utility" which requires a TCP/IP connection to the printer, which mine doesn't offer. Mine only has a parallel port on the back which I've connected an parallel->USB adapter to.
The real problem I'm having is that there are no official Linux drivers out there. I've checked the openprinting.org database and they only have the Aficio 1022 listed, but not the Aficio 1018. I've installed it as a 1022 in CUPS and it printed the test page just fine, both in A4 (letter) and in A3. Unfortunately any other page I'm trying to print, no matter if it is pdf, txt, or a website the printer is only producing garbage. It prints A3 pages with only a single line on the top with random characters, sometimes just one character alone..
Since the foo2zjs package exists in the official repositories, it would be ideal if it worked with your printer model. You should file a bug on the package explaining your situation and what you did to get it working. Do not forget to include the identifier of the device on the bus, ID 03f0:4117 HP, Inc LaserJet 1018.
Disabled mode is strongly discouraged; not only does the system avoid enforcing the SELinux policy, it also avoids labeling any persistent objects such as files, making it difficult to enable SELinux in the future.

All serious golfers have some sort of addiction within the game. People have garages full of old putters, while others seem to always have a new driver. My addiction is wedges. I seem to have tried or owned a wedge from nearly every major brand.
One thing you will notice is a very straight leading edge on the wedges (seen in the photo below). This is different from the rounded leading edge that is found on Vokeys and Clevelands. While this suits my eye and give me confidence on tight lies, make sure you chose a sole grind that personally suits your eye.
I always look for an aesthetically pleasing finish, a nice head shape, and heavy weight in my wedges. Beyond those obvious factors, I mainly look for longevity in the clubs. How long do the grooves stay sharp? Does the finish completely come off after a few bunker shots? Although I was playing a lot at the time, my first set of Cleveland CG12s looked years old after only a few months. My spin milled Vokeys always seemed to completely destroy cover of the Pro-V1xs. This was before the three-month point at which they became dull and began to stop spinning completely.
I have played the wedges this entire summer, which led to fairly heavy use. They have held up incredibly well. The grooves are still very sharp, and at no point did they cut up soft Titleist golf balls. The gun metal finish has held up well despite quite a bit of bunker practice.
Scratch Golf allows for a HUGE amount of customization when ordering wedges. Everything can be customized including head finish, shaft type and color, grip type and color, hosel plastic color. Customers are spoiled for choice. My personalized stamping can be seen in the picture below. Without the stamping (a small additional fee), the look is refreshingly simple compared to the flash of many modern clubs.
The 8620 Milled wedges cost 109 US$ with the 1018 Forged wedges coming in at a more expensive 179 US$. The forged wedges are quite expensive, but they are an extremely good product. They are meant to compete with the likes of Miura, and they do it successfully.
