Explora is the most advanced decoder from Multichoice LTD (DSTV). Explora is an HD PVR decoder that allows you to watch and record quality HD content from different channels.
DSTV Yanga bouquet subscription comes with over 85 channels. The channels also include the channels in the Padi subscription. DStv Yanga is what I consider as the cheapest and the best deal.
DSTV Compact plus is even more tempting than the compact. But much more expensive with just a few channels difference. The cost will be a discouraging factor. But for sports lovers, this may be a good deal, because of the additional sports channel.
Subscribing for your DSTV via your ATM is quite easy and simple to do, you will have to own an account with any bank, and also having an ATM card will give you access to subscribe via ATM using your debit card.

DStv Compact Plus and DStv Access are the two packages that are getting price hikes that are greater than South Africa's inflation rate of 6%. DStv Access is, however, getting a sports injection in the form of access to content from ESPN, La Liga, SuperSport Variety 4 and the SuperSport Blitz channels.
To promote its relaunched Showmax video streaming service, MultiChoice will soon rebrand and reprogramme one of the M-Net packaged linear TV channels on DStv to carry a curated offering of the content on offer on Showmax to aid sampling. This will include locally produced series for the Showmax platform that DStv subscribers will be able to watch on the linear channel.
MultiChoice is also introducing what the Randburg pay-TV operator calls a "price guarantee" agreement, whereby DStv subscribers can ensure that their subscription fees remain fixed for the period of their contract.
"Our priority is to ensure that we continue to provide unparalleled entertainment, which includes local South African stories and the world's best sports. So yesterday we published an article about how South African businesses are being allowed to cherry pick the DSTV channels they want. Well DSTV Zimbabwean business customers can cherry pick too. Well sort of. There are base packages that businesses have to subscribe to. They can then add channels of their choice on a per channel basis that is the dream.
These business packages are meant to suit the needs of various businesses depending on who they are. In fact the practice where sports clubs are subscribing to home DSTV premium package might well be a violation of Multi-choice terms and conditions-you know that stuff in small print we never bother to read. (Update:The guys at Multichoice confirmed that indeed this was a violation.)
While there is clear business case for the other three packages and the prices reflect that, the Office Bouquet is interesting. I for one would be very happy if Multichoice were to offer this package. As I have said many times before I have zero interest in watching Pawn Stars .Shows like this and Hunting Hitler make me want to smash my TV. All I want to do is watch sports including rugby, test cricket, EPL and UEFA in particular.
At $24.50 the same price as Compact, the Office bouquet is all I have been looking for. When it comes to watching movies there are cheaper options such as iFlix, Netflix, DEOD (seriously Telone, DEOD is a terrible name) and Shomax. Here I have more control, I can watch the movie I want when I want. I can microwave pop corn and pretend to enjoy The River when my wife makes me. She can pause the show without an ominous ticker telling her the episode will expire in 3 days.
In fact you could pay for the Office bouquet, subscribe to Netflix (HD), DEOD, Shomax and iFlix and still have about $10 to spare when compared to the Premium bouquet. That is assuming internet is a sunk cost for you as it is to me. You see I have to pay for internet for work purposes anyway. Might as well make it work for me. Those who see value in premium can continue.
