Hi

Playing with ContextVoice... wondering how it handles URL shorteners
in two use cases:

1. I provide a shortened or otherwise redirected URL. Does it follow
the redirections/expansions through to track all references to the
final target URL?

2. How about the other way around -- if I submit
http://www.myreallylongaddress/andareallylongpath as an URL to track,
does it [and this would be really really really useful for reactions
on Twitter, where EVERYONE would shorten that URL!] first run that URL
through some/'all'/any url shorteners and ALSO add the shortened URLs
for tracking?

Both features seem pretty much essential for CV to be useful for
tracking reactions on microblogging platforms like Twitter, where use
of URL shorteners is the rule rather than the exception....

?

Hi Darell,

You are right in both cases:

1) we follow all the redirects and return the reactions for the final URLs

2) we follow all the redirects on all the URL shortners and returns all the reactions for the final URL.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
Dan
