to Content Strategy Europe
Thank you to everyone who came to last night's 'great content strategy
debate'! It was a thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening session, and
I'd like to thank the four debaters in particular who made their cases
so passionately and intelligently: Anne Hinsley, Dan O'Driscoll, Lucie
Hyde and Julie Mahoney. Thanks also to our volunteer judges -
Elizabeth McGuane, Kate Thomas and Graham Francis!
And of course, a huge thank you to Julie and LBi for hosting the group
last night in such grand style - Mad Men's offices have nothing on
your swish conference room!
Just in case you missed it, the proposition we debated was: "Content
strategy is nothing more than a fashionable buzzword". The judges and
the audience agreed that Julie and Lucie's arguments countering that
statement carried the night.
However, as our discipline continues to grow and change, I don't think
the debate is really over. So, if anyone has any further thoughts
following on from last night's session, please share them here and
let's keep the discussion going!
Thanks again, everyone, and we look forward to seeing lots of you in
March at CS Applied 2012 and in April for our next group meeting.
